No one said it would end racism, dummy, but it’s certainly a strong message against institutional racism and the whitewashing of history.

Speed limits won’t abolish traffic deaths. Food purity laws won’t abolish contamination of food. Laws against rape won’t abolish rape. And ending slavery didn’t abolish racism either.

Why do anything to make the world better? Vote Republican instead!

The Charleston killings seem to have brought about one of the frankest discussions of racism in years.

I just wish that it had the same effect on the issue of guns. But that should have happened right after Columbine.

The Confederate Flag is saluted by people who want to revel in racism, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny and all other forms of bigotry, and yet people like Christie think that there’s a reason to keep that symbol of pure hatred around?

Of course- because the people who salute that flag are the Republican base.

Wow…he gets the Silver Sow Award for the biggest “DUH” of the week…

Newtown. I thought it might happen after a slaughter of children and educators at an elementary school.
When nothing happened after that, I decided our country was largely run by truly sick people.
