Yup! No surprise here. Jebbie drank the GOP Con & Bagger Koolaid in order to remain a viable candidate for the presidency and Chafee did not. Jebbie decided to rent a luxury condo in Baggerville, Dumbfu*kistan Real Murrikkka’ in order to run for the presidency and Chafee stayed in the United States of Sanity.

Neither will be President so no matter really. Chafee comes off a hell of a lot better then JebBush but the Party switching and low profile will be his undoing.
JebBush is living in denial if he thinks that he has a shot as George the Nation Wrecker Bush’s brother.
No one has forgotten and the slightly similar mannerisms of JebBush to George are an eerie reminder.

George wrecked the family name besides the entire nation and almost the world, that will always be true.

Describing the man who led the Teri Schiavo debacle as moderate? Compared to what?
Oh, yeah. Compared to the even crazier candidates.

This perfectly encapsulates how the moderate Republican of yesteryear has now evolved into a centrist Democrat. This country has tilted so far to the right that we’re in danger of tipping completely over. It’s well past time for progressive policies at the national and local levels.

I don’t know if you could find two finer examples of why we don’t have a monarchy or dynastical systems, or at least claim we don’t.

One interesting thing about Chafee is that he would probably still be in the Senate if he weren’t so honorable. He was being asked at every campaign stop in 2006 if he would caucus with the democrats. Hell, I wrote to the campaign twice about it. I think Whitehouse has been a fantastic senator, but I really wanted to vote for Chafee. He just declined saying he was elected to the first term as a Republican and he owed it to those who elected him to run again as a Republican. It is too bad, if he had just run as an independent (or even a Republican) who promised to vote for a Democratic majority he would still be in. That was a tough vote for a lot of us, I think my mom did a write in that year because she thought it was unfair to vote for Whitehouse when she really respected what Chafee had done, but couldn’t bring herself to support another Republican majority after how they had governed.

Jeb Bush orchestrated the Terry Schiavo circus and tripped all over himself rationalizing his brother’s invasion of Iraq, which Lincold Chafee opposed. But Chafee is the joke candidate and Bush is the “serious” candidate backed by big money. What a world.

The Irony and the Extrication.

That’s “Big-Ass Lincoln Chafee”. Said it himself on the Nightly Show.

And signed the bill making public shaming of women who want to give up babies for adoption by making them post their sexual history in the newspaper.

Where is the moderate there?
