This guy is a horrible excuse for a human being.

This guy is a real a-hole. And I don’t use this word that often.

And so it begins. The it-wasn’t-torture roadshow is underway and will continue while the Rs have the gavel.

Well, McCain’s torture wasn’t as bad as the gas chambers in WWII, so I guess it’s OK what the North Vietnamese did to the Senator?

It’s wrong. It’s not a matter of degrees where some is better than other. It’s just bleeping wrong to torture human beings.

Imagine how he’d screech if Obama were accused of torture.

Yes, Rep. King, by all means, let us compare ourselves with the North Vietnamese Communist regime.

Shouldn’t McCain be the one to judge that?

Shorter Pete King: “USA way better than Viet Cong”

Thank you Peter King, you’ve explained why John McCain’s views on torture are more relevant than yours. He endured worse and says that what the US did was not the American way. I 'd say John McCain knows a lot more about the value of torture if he endured much worse.

Oh these homophobes who relish the thought of anally infusing some man …

John McCain had it worse in Vietnam, than the guy who we was killed in US custody.

Staten Island sucks!

I would ask:

What is wrong with you people?
Meaning RWNJ-pols.

But I believe there is a 5000 character limit on replies.

So, no lasting injuries means it is not torture? Breaking an arm would fit that, I mean it heals.

Why doesn’t King permit McCain to speak for himself?

Failing that, I strongly urge King to turn himself in to CIA interrogators for 30 days and request one of their specials, i.e. treatment which replicates what they did to prisoners at Cobalt.

Then, if he survives the treatment, he will be able to speak from personal experience.

He could also stand to lose a little weight and rectal hydration sounds like an excellent and fun way to lose 10 or 20 pounds.

Which brings me to an old joke, which I think is particularly appropriate to King: Q to dieter - Want to lose 20 pounds of ugly fat? A: Yes. Response: Cut off your head!

Thats all, folks!

Let’s say he’s right, the North Vietnamese tortured Americans worse than the CIA tortured their detainees. . . that doesn’t mean the the CIA was good, we’re not talking about good torture vs. evil torture, we’re talking about the lesser of two evils.

Correction: According the Peter King: “VietCong way BETTER than USA”.

And yet McCain has gone on to be the Godfather of all things war, except one, torture, in any degree and by any means.
Meaning, torture isn’t a part of civilized war, wait-what?

And it assumes that the only damage that counts is physical damage. He’s completely overlooking the severe psychological toll the kinds of tactics they used can inflict.

I’ll believe it’s not torture when Pete King voluntarily agrees to undergo 45 days of the same regime that Abu Zubaydah was subjected to, including the 80 (or was it 180?) waterboardings and the rectal hydration, and still comes out saying it was no big deal. I myself doubt the guy would last 2 days before screaming for it to stop.
