Discussion for article #228588
As the official reincarnation of Ronald Reagan (Southern mythic version), Chris McDaniel is well within his rights to plagiarize the late president.
Reagan got it from the racist states right crowd in Philadelphia, MS in 1980
âGiven that they referenced a post from February, one might even think Chris McDanielâs name was on the general ballot this November 4th.â
Chris McDaniel who? ~ McDaniel spokesman Noel Fritsch
The face looks familiar-I think he was voted off the island during the second season of Survivor.
âIt is highly comical that of all media outlets, BuzzFeed is apparently
the self-appointed âFacebook plagiarismâ police,â Fritsch said.
Hey Noel, I saw somebody steal your lawnmower last month but I havenât reported it cause I donât want to be one of the âToro Troopers.â
Is that okay?
McDaniel: âReagan stole my future words!â
Actually, it rather looks like Reagan probably plagiarized this from John C. Calhoun.
Meh. Reagan probably cribbed it from one of his movies.
you can tell itâs Reagan because it sounds good, but itâs not true. 37 states entered the Union after the Constitution was ratified. They were, in fact, created by the federal government, not the other way around. Mississippi is, of course, one of thoseâŚ
Isnât one plagiarist in the U.S. Senate enough? After all, itâs the âgreatest deliberative body in the world,â not the âgreatest body of thieves in the world.â
Well, wait a sec.
Itâs just not fair! Ronald Reagan already used up all the good dog-whistle words!
McDaniel spokesman Noel Fritsch released a statement to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger pooping his pants, verbally.
#NoActuallyWeHadAWarAboutThat
McDaniel spokesman Noel Fritsch released a statement to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger dismissing the source of the claims.
However, he did not dispute the plagiarism. In a shorter version, he explained, âSo what?â
âGiven that they referenced a post from February, one might even think Chris McDanielâs name was on the general ballot this November 4th.â
True, but stealing quotes might reflect on a personâs character should that person try to be on the ballot in some future November.
McDanielâs denial non-denial should know that now we get to hear Reaganâs voice again in his opponentâs ads.
Yup. Reagan said that.
âAll of us need to be reminded that the Federal Government did not create the States; the States created the Federal Government.â
Yes, ânyah, nyah, nyahâ and the infamous âI know you are, but what am Iâ defenses will play very well in explaining this away.
Ahhhh,to hell with this loser. Can we hear more about the doofus in Oregon who had his gun stolen at gunpoint by a big, scary, BLACK gun?
Wow, that response from McDanielâs camp is the textbook definition of âfalse equivalencyâ ⌠all of the maturity of âand soâs your motherâ at recess on the 3rd grade playground. I miss the good olâ days when Republicans actually tried to sound and look like they cared about anything other than their own narrow and bigoted agendas.
He was quoting God; that is not plagiarism.
