Discussion: Zuckerberg Regrets Soros Attacks: Not Something FB Should Be 'Engaging With'

FB is the classic practitioner of ā€œbetter to ask forgiveness than permissionā€. FB is a ravening beast with an insatiable appetite for market share, profit and pure monopoly power. The more that comes to light in the Russia probe proves that FB is a bad actor and is entirely unconcerned with the dark side of its business model. Anyone who thinks FB is going to police itself is incredibly naive.

But you hired a company to slander him recently and have let countless bots promote anti-Soros crap for years. This guy, smdh.

Zuckerberg is increasingly proving himself to be out of his depth as well as corrupt.

Facebook is a kid who got lucky with a website. He doesnā€™t belong in the conversation with people who have built useful things.

Anyone who saw ā€œThe Social Networkā€ - great movie, if you havenā€™t - knows the character of Zuckerberg. A selfish and greedy egoist who couldnā€™t care less about anyone. Iā€™m heartened by the tech stock drops. Facebook is soon going to be a pariah, I predict, within social media.

Yes, like the Pocket Fisherman. Man, those things are cool even if youā€™re not fishing.

Guy is a sc*mbag who thinks heā€™s going places in this life because heā€™s one of the greats.

ā€œI donā€™t think that this is the type of thing that our company should be engaging with,ā€ he said. ā€œI know that George Soros has been the target of a lot of really horrendous attacks and I think that that is terrible. And I certainly wouldnā€™t want anyone who is associated with our company to be part of that.ā€

FB hired this firm. Someone authorized this garbage (came from the top) and Iā€™d be willing to bet Zuck is a micro manager.

Apple, Google, Amazon and the rest ought to be very wary of Zuckerberg. Because of him, because heā€™s so reckless, greedy and amoral -even more than the typical Silicon Valley egotist -federal regulations will eventually be brought to bear.

Zuckerberg could care less if democracy in America is destroyed, as long as Facebook profits. And Sandberg is right there with him. I wonder why she didnā€™t do this interview as sheā€™s politically savvier.

How many times in the history of Zuckerberg has he noted his regret in some form, for things that Face Book seem to do as a part of their business plan. Their official statements should just start out with ā€œOops, we did it again!ā€

Not soon enough.

I think that it is pretty clear now that The Zuck is simply another greedy sociopath that lies through his teethā€¦

I give my better half credit, she dropped Facebook like a sack of wet shit when the extent of information gathering became clearā€¦

I wonder what Orwell would have made of this whole episode, that unfortunately, is far from overā€¦

Zuckerberg et al knew about it and authorized it; not much doubt about that.

Zuckerberg Regrets Soros Attacks: Not Something FB Should Be ā€˜Engaging Withā€™, however, we will do it again for the right amount of cash. It is all about the cash, nothing but the cash, never has been anything else but the cash.

The only thing Zuck regrets is getting caught, repeatedly.

And I caught some nice fish using it.

The Pocket Fisherman makes a great cat toy. Facebook, a lot less so.

No thinking person should be using FB. Tell the whole world where you work and live, show pics of yourself and your family and display your schedule under the heading of ā€œsharingā€? Terrible idea.

Yes, FB is horrible and run by unethical criminals who donā€™t care if their greed destroys democracy because theyā€™re rich enough to survive it, but I still have an account.

I first used FB to connect with my high school friends, prior to a reunion. My extended family shares jokes, pictures, news, travels, and political opinions. I frequently use it to post essays, for which I get a lot of positive feedback, since many of my FB friends arenā€™t politically savvy. So, Iā€™m pretty well entrenched.

I never share my location, where Iā€™m going, or trackable personal data. I use a fake name. Still doesnā€™t stop me from being exploited, I know.

I wish there were other platforms as popular and easy to use (and not owned by FB like Instagram). I just canā€™t quit them.
