Having lived through 2 very minor storms that nonetheless caused damage, I now know there’s no way I could deal with this kind of stress. Thank you for giving me a reality check on what I thought I could handle.

Dubya is still dealing with the memories of how he handled that crisis as well:

“I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.” ___George W. Bush (Actual quote.)

As a New Orleanian this is the only worthwhile piece on Katrina that reflects the experience and sensibility of the majority of this of us who came back, in my opinion… Thank you for the honesty .

Lets talk about GWB having the nuts to go to NOLA on the 10th anniversary of his failed response to Katrina while eating corn on the cob with john “get off my lawn” mccain…

I grind my teeth every time I read the word “wanna” online, especially in the headline of an otherwise well-written article. Just another factor in the dumbing down of America.

I remember watching the news. The storm was no surprise. For three or four days the weather people were warning the storm of the century was heading directly for the Louisiana Coast, and Bush did nothing. That incompetent fool mismanaged everything, and a lot of people are dead because of it.
