Discussion for article #239493

John Bush should drop out to spend more time with his family. America cannot afford yet another Bush.

This is interesting as we have many data points saying this same thing, meaning this is clearly, without a doubt, the current, stable state of the race.

As was reported yesterday, Jeb!s superPAC is about to drop like 10 mil on trying to boost him.

It will give some info on how much influence this obsene amount of cash can have. It will also tell us if Trump is willing to put his money where his mouth is should Jeb! gain any traction…

The theme music from Jaws plays while the other GOP candidates swim around aimlessly…floundering in the wake of the Trumptanic.

Gettum’ Donald! Rip that odious cult to pieces.

Trump = WW III. Then again, so does Obama = WW III. Look at Obama playing dumdum dubya, but with the Ukraine. All his lies and contrived lies against Russia are the same as dubya’s and dick’s lies about Iraq, anything to give more money to the Amerikan Wehrmacht and conquer the planet. All lies from Obama about his destruction of the Ukaine with Kagan’s wife leading the charge in regime change. How is Obama any different from dubya and Trump, in the end (and I mean “END”)?

What the Hell are you talking about?

So what happens in a Trump v. Bush matchup?

There, there, Sir. The mood will pass.

He’s saying what republicans really believe in their heart. He’ll win the primary if republicans don’t think about the fact that he will not pull in a majority in the election with these same beliefs.

Let’s hope republicans follow their hearts!

Fiorina is running neck and neck with “someone else” and “none/no one”. But NPR tells me that she is gaining ground. Someone is lying to me and I wish that they would stop.

Yeah, well. NPR does a lot of good things, but their political commentary [1] is just as sucky as the mainstream media’s.

[1] In my view, political “analysis” is an oxymoron.

Exactly, Obama pulling out of wars is exactly the same as Bush starting wars…

It’s “Ukraine”, not “the Ukraine”, when referring to the country. Only people clueless on that part of the world would say “the Ukraine”, so I suspect you are just posting to “hear” yourself post…just a lot of drivel.

And how can this be?

How would it narrow down to only two of them? I don’t see all the others dropping out. If they did, Bush might win because supporters of people like Rubio and Walker will go to Bush, not Trump. Ben Carson perhaps a split. But I just don’t see all of them dropping out.

More like a tapeWORM ---- Ha !

Thank you for reminding me of that. Personally, my instinct tells me it won’t do much good. Rump’s followers don’t like Bush or any other “establishment” GOP. For JEB to win over Rump’s people, he’d have to go very negative and I don’t think he’ll do it because he knows that he needs to get to the general with the least amount of baggage possible.

If JEB can’t move the needle much after that 10 mil is dropped, expect to see lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This is idle speculation, I’m not interested enough to dig into the polls to figure it out.

I would love to see first and second choices diagrammed out. I’d bet $1 that no one that has Trump as their first choice has Bush as their second choice and vice versa. I bet that diagram would show the divide between Trump/Cruz/Walker/etc and Bush/Kasich/etc.
