Ideally Cuomo is finished as well. I donā€™t know if Schneiderman intends to run against him, but between this, the end of the Moreland Commission, and various internal rule changes designed to erase evidence, there ought to be more than enough to deny him a third term.

Which isnā€™t to say Iā€™m some great fan of de Blasio (who HRC should keep away with a ten-foot barge pole), but rather that Cuomo is a sad example of a politician whose many positive accomplishments cannot outweigh his ethical failings.

ā€œI have not and will not say anything differently than Iā€™ve been saying since January 2014, no matter what is said up there (in Newark federal court),ā€ Christie told reporters on Sept. 27. ā€œI had no knowledge prior to or during these lane realignments, I had no role in authorizing it, I had no knowledge of it, and thereā€™s been no evidence ever put forward that I did.ā€

Maybe I took a different kind of Evidence class in law school than Governor Christie did. But itā€™s always been my understanding that testimony given in court, under oath, constitutes ā€œevidence.ā€

ā€œTheyā€™re with him all the time, the people that did it,ā€ Trump continued. ā€œThey never said, ā€˜Hey, boss, weā€™re closing up the George Washington Bridge tonight.ā€™ They never said it? Theyā€™re talking about the weather, right? He knew about it. He knew about it. Totally knew about it.ā€

Trump is right about this.

Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.

Hilarious Drumpf threw Christie under the bus, but then again, he knows he wonā€™t need a transition team.

As a NJ attorney, I feel a deep sense of shame for the State that this man is our Governor. He should have been indicted, in my view. It was a mistake not to ā€œLet the jury decide,ā€ as they say. There was a case to be made here.

Trump is the blind pig who denies that he is blind, walks around bragging about his ability to find acorns (Iā€™ve been tremendously successful at finding acorns. Thousands and thousands of them. Tremendous success. I find them. Everyone else is [mimics blind person trying to feel his way around]. They canā€™t do what I can do.), steps on an acorn he couldnā€™t see, and walks on without any interruption in his stream of words.

I think the top photo is of Baroni telling the Outlaw Jersey Whale that hilarious joke about the woman who died because her ambulance was stuck in traffic.

Can we also get clarification on the Popeā€™s religion while weā€™re at it?

I bet you just made that up.

So what if I did? You gonna beat me like a rented mule?

Actually, many people use ā€œsquirrelā€ in lieu of pig, but Iā€™m a traditionalist.

To be fair, the people shocked that heā€™s not giving priests rainbow pride stoles probably could use the reminder.

There is absolutely no way that some flunky under the governor took it upon himself/herself to close lanes on a heavily traveled bridge without letting the governor know. No friggin way.

A fellow New Jersian hereā€¦so, can he not be indicted at all? What options are there? Can you elaborate?

What is interesting is he probably claims all the time to know what is going on in his stateā€¦except for this, this he knew nothing aboutā€¦

Back when he was loudly protesting his innocence, I remembered a friendā€™s mom making an observation long ago about a similar situation. ā€œRight,ā€ she said, ā€œthe madamā€™s a virgin.ā€ Comes back to me often.

Did Chris Christie know about the political motivation for lane closures ā€¦

Impossible to construct a scenario where he did not know!

Iā€™m not a criminal law practitioner, but I think the die was cast when the federal prosecutors decided not to indict Christie because it wasnā€™t a ā€œsure thing,ā€ more or less. There were some press releases about it and news coverage around the time the present trial started. Our best hope is that he gets impeached, I think.
