Discussion: Yates: 'There Is Certainly A Criminal Statute' Implicated By Flynn's Conduct

“I don’t know how the White House reached the conclusion that there was no legal issue,” she said. “It certainly wasn’t from my discussion with them.”

Let me parse this for you Ms. Yates:

You’re a woman.
You worked for Obama (a black man).
You supported Hillary.
Oh – and we don’t give a rat’s ass about legalities. We’re more interested in phantom voter fraud, tax cuts for the rich, kicking the poors & middle class and lining our pockets. This is the Trump Administration.

If they do it, it’s legal.

Until someone who actually cares about what is legal stops them.

Which needs to happen. NOW!

Keep it coming, Ms. Yates. The Drumpf Crime family is terrified of strong, smart women.

But but but…

they keep saying all Ms. Yates did was give them a “head up”!

And it’s pure coincidence that the Comey dinner came the night of Sally’s 2nd visit to the WH. But I’m sure there was no “loyalty pledge” requested because PeePee has proven himself honest and honorable…

I’ve kept telling myself, be patient, be patient, this will take some more time…

… but we are running out of time. This is not a Watergate, even. The danger is far more imminent, and life-threatening.

The polling is starting to bear out a shift over the past few days. Real Clear Politics polling aggregator has him at his all-time highs for disapproval and nearing his record low for approval.

Slightly off-topic, but if Patrick Fitzgerald had indicted Karl Rove, as he easily could have, these right-wing operators would have been far less brazen than they’ve been over the last ten years.

Still waiting for some NYT stories about clouds and shadows… oh, right, not Clinton.

The problem is, his base hasn’t deserted him in any significant way. And his base, while not completely overlapping, is mostly the GOP base.

This is from a tweet by a well known idiot, mind you, but until and unless this happens the political process (the GOP Congress) won’t act. The legal process (indictments/arrests) needs to force their move. And NOW.

We knew they were a bunch of criminal conspirators when we elected them. Just didn’t know how incompetent.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? Just what does it take? Rhetorical questions, to be sure.

… having said that, and while the vast majority come from our side, this is not a bad thing.

I’m afraid the possibility of that is becoming more in doubt as they find successful ways to suppress the vote.

“Yates said she doesn’t know why the White House concluded that Flynn’s conduct was problematic because he misled Vice President Mike Pence, and not in a legal sense.”

She’s being lawyerly. She knows exactly why.

She doesn’t know. She can make an informed guess and could probably get a jury to agree with here. Also, as excuses went it was a pretty transparent one (and probably capable of being disproven), so she may be confused why they didn’t come up with something better.

Yes, she seems very reluctant to give over to speculation.
