He wasn’t lying, his ears were being untruthful.

“When Republicans “selectively quote,” it almost always means they are lying about what the document actually says.”

This article selectively quotes the letter from Dowd & Sekulow selectively quoting McGahn who selectively quotes Yates.

Ah, the True Believers … the Whores McGahn.

Dandy Don would never push someone down the stairs (fire Rosenstein), but he might remove the wet floor sign in a compulsive, unthinking kind of way. No piano-wire denouement is complete sans one (or two) McGahns.

It makes me wonder why Yates really was fired. Was it because she was getting to in too deep, or was she really fired because of the travel ban?

Option A.

When did Trump’s underlings realize you can’t tell him the truth without being eviscerated?

But the primary source, the letter, is available online, unlike McGahn’s memo. There are some hilarious annotated versions by prominent Twitter lawyers already.

I’m old enough to remember how the White House counsel was portrayed in The West Wing. He was clean as a whistle, no nonsense, tough and forthright and had the presidential staff in fear of what he could do.

What do you suppose we pay to have Pruitt’s dry cleaning and moisturizer picked up?

They’re often called Contemporary Communications, shortened to concoms. Comey’s were described as concoms. (but if you’re not careful autocorrect will call them condoms )

Pruitt’s got a whole level of rat bastard to himself. He shouldn’t be anywhere near any government office in an official capacity. Well, except wearing a prison number.
