Here’s the deal. It depends entirely on what you’re using to listen to the clip, and I suspect that all the Yanny people are listening on their phones. I first listened on my iPhone, with its tiny speakers with no bass response, and it was obviously Yanny. Then I connected my Bose wireless over-ear headphones with great bass response and it was obviously Laurel. Listen with decent speakers and it’s Laurel. Listen on small or cheap or tinny speakers with too much treble and no bass and it sounds like Yanny. QED.
