Discussion: Wyden Calls For Kushner To Testify In Open Session Of Senate Intel Committee

That’s the thing about flashing a little National Security leg, Jared…

Never going to happen, but I want Democrats demanding that at every opportunity.

Mr. Kushner,

Why did you attend a meeting under the premise of acquiring damaging information on a political opponent from the government of a hostile country?

Why did you not report the presence of at least five Russian citizens at that meeting?

Behold the power of the sternly-worded letter!

Is there nothing that can stop Dems now?

I really like Ron Wyden but, jesus, that photo is painful. What’s the median age of senators? 70?

Yeah, did he have a long draught on some polonium tea?

Great guess! It’s 69.

Kushner looks like a vicious little weasel, but I don’t see him as much of a chess player. Does he really think there will be no more WaPo/Times stories putting the lie to his comments?

The lawyers have to be screaming “What were you thinking!” and “Why in the hell didn’t you seek advice the day after the election?” because maybe at that time there would be some way to get out of the way the DOJ’s Jaws of Death. But now, sadly (not), we are in for a cascade of indictments and prosecutions. And no one can help these fools. (Not even Jay Sekulow, and he’s seen some real dumb asses in his time)

I think they’re ultimately relying on the pardon pen.

It’s important to get some sense of how many meetings Kushner took on the fateful day in June 2016 when he met with Russians, & how many other times he met people with Manafort and Don Jr around that time. All emails, diaries, phone & text records should be disclosed/subpoena’d. It will become apparent, at the very least, that the Russian meeting was of an exceptional character and there is no way that Jared was unaware of the agenda for the meeting. It’s not a credible defense to say 'I was too busy to notice what was happening to me."

Notice Kushner said he did not “rely on” Russian money.

Not that he didn’t solicit or accept any Russian money.

Didn’t “rely on” Russian money could simply mean that (according to Kushner) he could have secured the financing somewhere else.

“There should be no presumption that he is telling the whole truth in this statement.”

Or any truth at all.

“did not collude…"

Lie. We know you meat in secret with Russian lawyer for that express purpose.

“…nor know of anyone else in the campaign who colluded”

Lie, your brother-in-law and the campaign manage were also at said meeting for the express purpose of colluding with Russia…"

"…with any foreign government.”

Lie. See above. And that does’t even touch on Manafort and his being in bed with pro-Russia elements of the former Ukrainian government.

A weasel who has no need to own a razor. What does he wax or hasn’t yet grown facial hair? It’s just weird as hell.

Even after all the various Russian meetings and connections we’ve learned about, I still can’t get past the pre-inaguration effort to use Russian secure-communication facilities to make direct contact with Moscow. That tops everything in my book.

Republican Conservative Dirty Little Secret #14: there’s no free market in Russia.

That’s why conservatives want to be like Russia.
