Discussion: WSJ Rips Obama For Making It All About Himself In Selfie-Stick Video

Discussion for article #233335

Can’t stand a POTUS being human eh?
Go grow up WSJ.

I’m ambivalent here since I view selfies on the same level with twitter–both IMO are idiotic.

This same editor suggested Pres. Obama call Bush and be humble, contrite and bipartisan in order to “save his presidency”
I take anything this guy says with a grain of salt after reading that drivel.

Nothing Obama does will satisfy some folks.

So according to the WSJ, selfies are beneath the dignity of office, but publishing op-eds that claim he is a Muslim, question his birth certificate, or say he is a socialist dictator are just fine and uphold the dignity of the office.

I’m sure they didn’t have any problem with Ron and Nancy being filmed cavorting with Mickey and Minnie or GWB making out with a life-sized plush toy. But Obama is different. Gee, I wonder why?

I guarantee you this: This raging WSJ Teatroll is more angry that Obama’s shit is working than anything else.

Nothing…absolutely NOTHING…outrages them more than him consistently proving them wrong. Idiots like him continue to pour on the disdain and fabricate arguments that things like the ACA are failing precisely because they’re not and they really really really wished they would. Seriously…had you been in a conversation with him when he said what I quoted above and then responded to him by citing shit to prove he’s out to lunch about his claim that the numbers are “make-believe,” he’d have immediately switched gears like a 5 year old engaged in “oh yeah, well…” or “yeah, but…” during a playground argument.

BTW - The Pioneer Press in St. Paul, MN is just a reprint of the Wall Street Journal with local ads.
It used to be one of the top newspapers in the country, then it got bought out and went right down the toilet, just as the new owners intended.

“If communicating with 20-somethings as if they are 11-year-olds is a way to get them to behave like grown-ups…”

Stephens then goes on to demonstrate how much more effective it is to speak to grownups as an 11-year-old with his critique on Obama’s foreign policy:

“Invade Ukraine: You do you, Vladimir Putin. Build a robust nuclear infrastructure: You do you, Ali Khamenei. Continue gassing your own people: You do you, Bashar Assad.”

WSJ…you do know these people you are disdaining along with president…will likely vote in larger numbers as they get a bit older…right?

this what I have never understood about the short term thinkers on the right…you keep insulting and negating the very damn voters your going to need and they are likely not to forget it.

Obama goes on Buzzfeed because that’s where younger voters are. And they will still be there in 2016 dumbasses.

They aren’t going to suddenly turn to the WSJ for information especially after said media outlet spent 8 years undermining and insulting the very man THEY VOTED FOR.

the whole “get out the vote” strategy of hoping the other guys don’t show only seems to work in mid terms WSJ.

You know what chaps my butt about the video? The mirror is dirty. After watching it twice I can’t focus on anything but the spotty mirror.

Teatroll Rosetta Stone: “His blah-ness is beneath the dignity of the office.”

Rinse and repeat. Applies to every single time they go this route.

Devastating put-downs, Stephens. But let’s take a closer look:

Putin’s adventure into Ukraine is isolating Russia and devastating its economy, thanks partly to international sanctions championed by President Obama.
Syria has destroyed its chemical weapons after a threat by President Obama to take military action.
And Iran is moving closer to a nuclear agreement, thanks to the P5 plus 1 coalition put together by President Obama.

And as far as Miley Cyrus – really?

What’s beneath the dignity of a President is–or ought to be–starting wars and invading other nations based on overstated evidence and outright lies.

Accidentally made it in there because he was busy fapping to her latest tongue-out selfie. He likes the whole twiggy-skank thing…
