I keep hearing in my memory Molly Ivins’ assessment of issues adjudicated with guns: in a dispute where the individuals only have access to knives, nobody gets killed, at least not without a good footrace first. Hard to argue with that.
Given that this was a Silicon Valley tech company, I was surprised that there were any women in the building to begin with. The two that were wounded might be 40% of their female workforce.
TIL JIT: YouTube apparently stands out, with 33% female headcount. Good on them.
