Whatever anyone says about Chauhan’s means and line of inquiry, she did needle Spicer into saying, “Such a great country that allows you to be here.”
I suppose it goes without saying, but the implicit racism and assumed privilege in that remark is a stunning confirmation of precisely the fascism Chauhan is charging. And the fact that he felt safe making it knowing he was being recorded is a powerful indicator of White House expectations.
