Obviously the solution is the woman should have been armed, and there should have been MORE good guys with guns around!
“Tony Ward told the police that his .22 caliber handgun, for which he had a permit, slipped from his waistband and accidentally discharged while he was shopping.”
Don’t put that much confidence into sweatpants.
The woman was not robbed, beaten, or raped by hoodlums while shopping, and was not enslaved by her totalitarian government, so it seems to me that she owes the man a huge thank you.
Just like the man Dick Cheney shot in the face way back when owed HIM an apology because his head was in the way of his gun.
Another reason to avoid shopping at WalMart.
The scary thing about weapons is, the majority of people who want to carry one should never even be allowed to touch one.
Ever.
If the gun was simply stuck in his waistband, TPM should probably reconsider use of the word “holster.”
He stood his ground against that damn Walmart smiley face!
That’s a Redneck Holster…
This is still the safest Wa-mart in America.
As long as you aren’t a leg or an arm.
This one’s easy:
The victim gets the man’s house and all his belongings to pay for her rehabilitation and pain/suffering
Mr. Ward gets 3-5 years in prison for unlawful release of a firearm, injury resulting.
When the gun nuts start having to pay for their crimes, both in financial terms and jail terms, then they won’t be so quick to bring their guns to Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart. . . Our prices won’t cost you an arm and a leg, but your fellow customers might. Hey now!
I’m here all night, folks. Please remember to tip your waiters and waitresses.
Fucking derps!
Guns don’t kill people. Gravity kills people.
Just exercising his constitoooootional right to bare arms.
One more reason I avoid Walmart…
Can you sue these “responsible” gun owners or has the NRA fixed it so there is no way to hold them accountable?
One minor quibble, the firearm wasn’t release, it was a 22 caliber freedom projectile that was released from it that did the damage.
