Discussion: Wolff Defends Trump Book: POTUS 'Has Less Credibility Than Perhaps Anyone'

Sloppy Steve

Might be a good time to avoid the Urban Dictionary.

Wolffā€™s book may sell more copies than anything Trump ever allegedly wrote and had published. Itā€™ll be nice when people can tweak Trump with that tidbit of his inferiority to someone elseā€™s accomplishment.

I see no reason to question this manā€™s reputation for skillful self-promotion. Trump will be doing backflips like Daffy Duck when he hears this.

That Trump is a liar and the Republican Party is corrupt from top to bottom is not the question. They are, and everybody in Washington DC knows this.

The question is why arenā€™t the Democrats saying this loudly and often?

This is true. There are two types of people when it comes to Trump:

Those who know heā€™s constantly lying and hate him for it and

Those who know heā€™s constantly lying and love him for it.

Yes, there is in fact nobody who thinks heā€™s telling the truth. Those to whom you might point as ostensibly doing so are just trying to help make the lies reality.

Makes me laugh just thinking about it

The best part is , he conned the con. He had him convinced it would be a glowing pile of positive bullshit.
Wolff really played the long game with the Idiot in Chief.

ā€œHeā€™s helping me prove the point of the book,ā€ Wolff said on NBCā€™s ā€œToday,ā€ referring to Trumpā€™s attempts to shut it down.

Reminds me of another famous GOPer attack fail. ā€œPlease proceed, governor.ā€

You could tell Trump to go to NAPA for a can of beep and shortly heā€™d be asking a clerk what aisle it was in.

If Trump is ever interviewed and decides to refute the book, starting off ā€œIā€™ve read the book, andā€¦ā€ everyone will know whatever follows out of his mouth is lying gibberish.

ā€œIā€™ve read the book.ā€ Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, OMG, thatā€™s a GOOD ONE!!

The paragraph on Stephen Miller did it for me. I bought the book. The book is a bombshell not because of its sensational gossip, but because of essential truths it has revealed that are incontrovertible:

Donald Trump is mentally unwell and unfit to hold the office.
Donald Trump is an ā€˜idiotā€™ in the view of those who see him every day.
Donald Trump has strategized nearly every day to obstruct the Russia inquiry.
Donald Trumpā€™s staff are comprised of enablers and opportunists who have all concluded that he is unfit to serve.

The GOP and their base will support Donald Trump, but this book makes that a cultish absurdity. The net result of this book is that fewer people will identify as Republican and fewer still will vote Republican. We are past that point of no return with the GOP as we saw in the '06-'08 period when people so thoroughly judged Bush a failure that people stopped identifying and voting as Republican. We have actually seen this movie before. It comes with every Republican Administration of the last 60 years. Itā€™s the cycle of corruption and incompetence.

All I have to do if I want to laugh is to think of Daffy saying ā€œYouā€™re deth-pic-able.ā€

ā€œI authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that donā€™t exist.ā€

Iā€™m going to go out on a limb here and guess that the Secret Service still keeps some visitor logs for the White House, or at least has some record of who has come and gone. Wolff probably appears more than a few times.

As for the ā€œsources that donā€™t exist,ā€ I think it has been verified that there actually is a Steve Bannon, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Katie Walsh, and others. And of course Wolff has the tapes of those non-existent ghost people, too.

Donald Trump questioning the credibility of Michael Wolff (or anyone else, including Tommy Flanagan, for that matter) is like Hannibal Lecter criticizing Martha Stewart because of her taste in candy bars.

Yes, itā€™s nice to know the president lets uninvited guests wander around the White House all day. Hey, if John Wilkes Booth had known that, he wouldnā€™t have had to spring for a ticket to Fordā€™s Theater.

Every time Wolff needles Trump the latter snarls back and another hundred thousand copies of that book fly off the shelves. If Donnie werenā€™t such a moron Iā€™d be certain he was getting a cut of the sales.

In one respect, he exploited a senior of diminished capacity.

If he could do this, then imagine the people who really are trying to achieve nefarious ends.

Did he go the full Mighty Monarch?

Did he describe the book as being ā€œfilled with nothing but lies and pictures of also lies.ā€?

The publisher had so under-printed this book that Amazon is now warning 2 - 4 weeks for shipping.

A DC bookstore which stays open all night started selling their 75 copies at midnight and was sold out well before 1AM.

No one who reads this book will come away with a safe, secure feeling that this so-called president is sound of mind and level of head.

Because it needs to be repeated on a regular basis, Hillary was spot on in her assessment of Trampā€™s temperament! Letā€™s just hope we survive his access to the Big Buttonā€¦
