More and more it seems like Kushner is Putin’s man in the White House. Not that Jared is loyal only to Vlad the bad, he is so hungry for cash to prove to his daddy and daddy in law that he can swim in their pools that he will work for anyone who can help make him look like he is competent. 666 5th Avenue makes him look like an idiot, much like the aforementioned older generation he seems to venerate.

It is worth reminding people that Erik Prince’s work for UAE goes back a long ways.

Oh, and just btw, when you add your own money to the money that someone is clandestinely paying you to do something, that just makes it more of a conspiracy.

George Nader, an adviser to the UAE who is now a witness in the U.S. special counsel investigation into foreign meddling in American politics, wired $2.5 million to the Trump fundraiser, Elliott Broidy, through a company in Canada

Damn Canadians. You just can’t trust 'em.

We call this money laundering.

Looks like Mueller will soon have a new cooperating witness, and we have a much clearer picture of why so many Republicans want to stop Mueller. and it’s not Trump they are trying to protect.

It’s become clear that years of legalized bribery has rendered political party as nothing more than a tool available to the highest bidder, including corrupt and even hostile foreign governments. The Trump-Russia ties are only the most notorious example. Rohrbacher and Royce show a pattern, as do the ties of Cruz and Carson to Cambridge Analytica.

Individual Democrats aren’t immune to foreign influence peddling. But the GOP’s fidelity to transactional politics and its devotion to manipulating its base by any means necessary make it far more susceptible to wholesale corruption.

Putting the genie back in the lantern will be very, very difficult, especially post Citizens United.

These are monumental leaks. Is this coming from the FBI?

Broidy looks to be a cut out and a bag man for the UAE.
He worked to advocate a policy contrary to US DoD interests in Qatar with the possibility that there was pay for play with well placed Republican representatives. This coincides with Kushner’s alleged actions in the Middle East.
He was previously closely connected to three Republican senators, including Graham, who is on the Senate Intelligence Committee. What influence he might exercise over them is unknown.
It looks like he violated FARA, for starts, violations of which Mueller has been willing to prosecute.
Dunno where this comes from or where this goes, but the connection could be through Nader who’s cooperating with Mueller.

Just the latest example of opportunists recognizing an opening thanks to our thoroughly morally compromised executive branch.

According to Rachel Maddow JOE DIGENOVA was a US attorney who pressed charges against Nader for child porn but lost the case. So about 10d ago we got the leaks about his child porn past BUT somehow the fact he was acquitted was left out of ‘my’ stories. Now we got this.

So even though Di Genova did not pass the ‘chemistry’ test (I thought the fact Joe and Victoria were repping about a half a dozen ‘other’ people caught up in the Mueller investigation made a good argument for them not being able to rep DJT as well) – I thought it was lousy for DJT to spread the old ‘no chemistry’ excuse, these people WOULD defend him and they ARE well-known GOP lawyers. He’d finally have some high-powered legal talent.

ANYWAY, my opinion is Di Genova knows how to dig up my Nader’s background and is ‘assisting’ in that way. BUT I think this story is more harmful to Broidy than to Nader. It’ll turn out the GOP has been accepting gladly ‘foreign’ money thru any number of shady people/groups (like the NRA and now Broidy) who will do a ‘really’ good Sgt. Schultz (I know NOTHING! I know NOTHING!) and I am wondering if Mueller can bankrupt certain GOP allies this way.

I certainly hope these unfortunate entanglements don’t impede Jared in his important work forging peace in the Middle East.

You know, there’s terrorists, and then there’s terrorists, and they aren’t all the same.

There’s the crazy psycho fundamentalists like al Qaeda or Isis or Boko Haram or Focus on the Family, and then there’s the stupid religious political operations like the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas and the Taliban.

The former groups need to go away, while the latter groups may or may not actually serve a political purpose, while their methods are often reprehensible and morally unfit, they are something that needs to be addressed in their countries politically as they do have some valid points or issues or concerns, kinda like our heroic Kurdish allies (but not those idiot Taliban)!

And then there’s the GOP. When I say those groups need to “go away” I leave that meaning to my fellow TPM cabalists (someone once accused me of being in a cabal in my “Left Coaster” days as if that were a bad thing, and which I much appreciated!!), but for the GOP, melting Antarctic ice sheet berg with no ships for rescue is my thoughts on a good place for them to go.

Tried to “heart” your funny, computer is not cooperating!

I was talking about these very specific leaks that form the basis of this story which I doubt came from the Fox News lawyers.

George Nader, an adviser to the UAE who is now a witness in the U.S. special counsel investigation into foreign meddling in American politics, wired $2.5 million to the Trump fundraiser, Elliott Broidy, through a company in Canada, according to two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.
