This is really dumb. If he announces that it’s Pence, it will be ho-hum. If he picks someone else, people who wanted Pence (and there are some among Republicans) will be burned, and Pence will be humiliated publicly.,
And all this because he was afraid of being upstaged by the deaths of more than 80 civilians in France.

The noon deadline is the deadline for Pence to withdraw. He can’t drop out after noon today. I’m assuming it’s a balloting issue?

Doesn’t it make sense that if Pence withdraws by noon he is a shoo in? Or if he does not withdraw, he will find a way to legitimately withdraw next week–that the deadline rule is really inane and unbinding?
In a perfect world Pence, under the impression that he’s won the VP sweepstakes, withdraws from the Indiana Governor’s race, then Drumpf picks somebody else, say, Virginia Foxx. A win-win for everybody.

He can’t withdraw without Trump announcing. That would be stealing Trump’s thunder and be immediately disqualifying.

Not only has Trump not made a final, final decision, but when that is done he will still need to make a final, final, final, final…, final, final decision. Then there is the coin flip, the high card draw, the dice throw, and then he will ask Ivanka what to do. Its complicated.

Interesting! I can’t imagine Christie with his son-in-law’s father’s history and Newt–well, look at the dumb thing he announced about interrogating all Muslims via their Mosques–crazy. If Pence isn’t it, his campaign really looks sloppy now to me.
