Trump has isolated the entire Republican party from common-sense, not just himself.
To the children who will manage our future, Republicans look like goons these days because they enabled so many hateful players when they tried to take Obama down because he is black.
Plain and simple.
They couldn’t beat him on the mnerits so they tried and failed to beat him on his race. By bringing the bigots into their fold, disguised as Tea Mob tax protesters, they assured the ruination of the Republican party.
And now those maniacs have taken over the party identity, there’s no other image left for the future to look at, this image of hateful red-faced ignorance will become the enduring legacy of Republicans in the history books, not a photo of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
It may be way too late for Republicans to fix this mess, too, Trump has dug them so deep into full-on failure mode, there’s no way back to the Eisenhower image, or even the Reagan image they delude themselves they represent.
Trumpo has completely destroyed the Eisenhower Republican party. It is already over.
What can possibly go wrong - more impulsive, uninformed, not thought out, reality tv drama and/or acting out rage decisions by Trump.

It is sort of like buying a brand new car, only to have replaced all the parts within the first year. About all that is left are the windshield wipers.
I have to believe this is the beginning of the end for Trump. He won’t be left to his own devices when the fate of the entire country (and world) hangs in the balance.

Edit: One happy person interviewed, told that other employers wouldn’t hire him, because they knew, he would return to the mill, if is reopened, due to its better pay and health care…
A bit off topic, but I have to replace a new-ish set on my truck as they are too good. They are great, but make such a squawk that it becomes unbearable after a just a few minutes in a steady rain.
