Discussion: Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Once Called Gays 'Queers' And 'Degenerates'

Bradley was appointed to a vacancy on the Wisconsin Supreme Court by Walker (thank you Scotty) having had virtually little experience. She despises gays and drug addicts and considers people who don’t vote the same way she does as either evil or stupid or a combination of both. Her views speak loudly to her character.

Do those opinions show up in her record as a judge? If so, she still holds them, but knows better than to write them down for publication. I doubt she’s changed much…

She made countless disparaging comments, but rest assured that’s “not her world view.” OK, now how about that bridge you wanted to sell me?

Awake yet, WI?

So she wants to be reelected by pretending she is something she isn’t.

I rate it a level two nonpology. Level one is “I apologize if anyone was offended,” combined with an implicit or explicit suggestion that their offense is the result of a misconstruction of what was said. A level two nonpology acknowledges that people were offended without explicitly recognizing the legitimacy of their being offended or indicating any actual reflection about why they might have found it offensive.

A level three nonpology, of course, involves blaming an unpaid intern who has been sacked.

Like elections, evil words and evil ideologies have consequences. Your sort-kinda gesture and an apology falls deaf on this ear.

She also accused One Wisconsin Now of conducting a “blatant mudslinging campaign to distract the people from the issues at hand,” according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Suuuure. When they quote your own words and show you may very well have hidden prejudices that go beyond what you’re willing to admit, now that you’re running for election… that’s some kind of mudslinging, huh? You want people to ignore the offensive shit you actually said about gay people or drug addicts. Why am I not surprised? Tell us, how did you evolve. Those are precisely the issues voters should concern themselves with if you’re running to be on WI’s highest court.

Fuck her. Wisconsin, you elect this Walker toadstool at your own peril. Justice in WI will continue to be delayed and denied with her on your Supreme Court, and bigotry will have a seat on the court. She’s just pissed off we all know where she’s actually coming from now and can’t hide it like a good Walker toady.

Go Blue all the way Wisconsin. Take your state back from these Walker appointees, cronies and assholes!!!

“Then there was the educated Texan from Texas who looked like someone in
Technicolor and felt, patriotically, that people of means – decent folk –
should be given more votes than drifters, whores, criminals,
degenerates, atheists and indecent folk – people without means.” …Catch-22

I’m bookmarking this so we can pull it out every time a politician has to nonpologize.

Somewhere we have to add the analysis about the excuse that it’s mudslinging by the other party if that party brings up something you once said at some point in your previous life before politics. Clearly that’s illegitimate.

Wisconsin seems hell-bent on destroying itself - after all, it voted for Scott Walker 3 (!) times - so I have no doubt this sad excuse for a jurist will be elected.

Between Kloppenberg and another liberal, Martin Donald, they had more than enough to defeat this mouth-breather Bradley (about 300k for the liberals combined to 250k for the teabilly judge). C’mon Wisconsin, do NOT blow this by letting this neanderthal take that seat!

What is it in the human psyche that makes the least among us race for public office?

In the primary, there were 3 candidates: Bradley, Kloppenberg, and Martin Donald. Both Kloppenberg and Donald are liberals, and received approximately 243k and 68k votes respectively, while Bradley received about 252k. This was less than a month ago. There is obviously enough support for Kloppenberg to win if Dems get out and vote. Do NOT blow this, Dems.

Once a goober, always a goober. Same goes with raciests and homophobes.

But then she would be lying, wouldn’t she? Better that she issue her non-apology/dog-whistle and take her lumps, methinks.

Is she from the ultra rich right wing Wisconsin Bradley family as in Bradley Machine?

My scenario depends upon the apology being sincere. It’s fictional, but it has a nice ending.
