I don’t necessarily think he needs to resign. He’s an city councilman, which is just barely over an appointed position most of the time. But some sensitivity training and meeting with this and other muslim groups would go a very long way.

I can appreciate the consideration you’re offering BTS, I do.

But the apparent mindset that this was something he was compelled to ask a stranger based on innuendo-- due to ‘problems with other MSAs around the country’?

Leads me to believe that his efforts are simply to keep his job.
Like a speeder regards defensive driving.
Something they ‘must do’ to keep auto insurance rates from skyrocketing.

Clever enough to mollify.
But the mindset remains.
