Discussion: Will A GOP-Controlled Congress Damage This Prison-Rape Law?

Discussion for article #231609

Yeah…right. Rape in prison has been around since prisons have been around and no one has done a thing to stop it. If cornered some folks do things to give the impression they are doing something but nothing effective at stopping the rape. The bit above mentions several “programs” and Ill bet anyone any amount none have achieved anything. They weren’t intended to.

The women in the article was repeatedly raped while imprisoned for an attempted financial crime. Of a few thousand dollars. Do it for hundreds of billions and there is no rape for you.

For profit prisons are a lie. They couldn’t possibly be profitable without government paying 100% of the cost. Leave it to Republicans to make sure the government also eats the liability for their own privateers’ misbehavior.

The Rapey Republicans are back at it again. They can’t stay away from the subject of rape. It’s almost as if they believe in the right to rape. Rape, rape, rape, rape, rape, the GOP raped.

Surprise surprise, the seven states that have opted out of the law are from the part of the United States that should be expelled and then nuked into a green glass desert as the terrorist-supporting failed state it is: the Confederacy.

Texas would not be able to single-handedly gut the law; they require the cooperation of other Senators and Congressmen to do that.
