Discussion: Wilbur Ross Overruled Census Bureau Officials To Add Citizenship Question

Yep, that about captures it – Still another “best and brightest” Trump sycophant jamming his fingers in his ears while executing the Fuhrer’s wet dreams.

Kudos on the photo selection.

“The driving force behind the request for the new question, according to internal emails, was a Justice Department political appointee who spent years as an attorney in private practice defending GOP redistricting maps around the country.”

I am shocked, shocked I say, that a partisan political hack is behind the DOJ request to the Census Bureau. If you’ll excuse me, I must retrieve my monocle from my martini glass.

Donc Wilbur dit:

“neither the Census Bureau nor the concerned stakeholders could document that the response rate would in fact decline materially.”

It’s really convenient that the last large-scale test of the systems for the 2020 Census took place last year, ain’t it, Wilbur? Because that means there is no way to ascertain whether the question will affect response rates, doesn’t it?

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate these people? Now I need to wash my hands for allow them to refer to the likes of Wilbur as a person.

So, listen to this, Wilbur. This is straight from the mouth of Mr. Ed:

For the first time in my adult life I will not participate in the U.S. Decennial Census. Did you get that, Wilbur? I’m not fucking playing in 2020. I’m going to be in the undercount.

One of the bigger criminals in the trump mob ring, and one of the biggest Russian money launderers also too.

“But Ross added that “neither the Census Bureau nor the concerned stakeholders could document that the response rate would in fact decline materially.”

Decline materially? What’s that supposed to mean? It sounds important, but, really, it’s just snake talk.

Once again proving that the GOP can’t win without cheating.

It means that white people will still fill out the census form and that’s what is material to them.

Just the GOP party line these days… We can’t win by the rules, so we bend/change the rules so that we can win.

They don’t even limit themselves to retail level cheating and skulduggery, but jump in whole hog and do it on a wholesale, industrial level.

And then there is the shining beacon of sleaze Scott Walker

Well, it’s hard to argue against that as the unspoken point

Bad idea if you live in a blue state or congressional district

Wilbur ; You look pretty frail .
Why aren’t you dead yet? Maybe when Meuller gets a little closer to the Greek banks and the money laundering , you’ll retire for “Health reasons”
You’re a a dirty lying douchebag and deserve every bit of the disgrace coming your way

As it happens, I’m in a gerrymandered red district in a reddish-purple state. I’m also a professional statistician, and if these asshats want to make a mockery of my profession I don’t care to play.

Trump and his minions make a mockery of anything that even slightly resembles science or an intellectual endeavor of any kind.

Just cram in this BS question at the last possible moment to minimize the chance of lawsuits being able to get rid of it. Classic strategy.

Nor has Ross shown any evidence that it will not substantively harm the accuracy of the Constitutionally mandated counting of all persons.

Also interesting that the standard of proof he’s looking for would require a time machine and travel into the future. Funny how the career staff couldn’t clear that bar. I guess they’re lazy! (probably immigrants)

It’s kinda sad when your defense is “arbitrary and capricious”.
