Hmmm. Part of a Wikileaks/Putin plan to help trump discredit the US IC ahead of any investigations?

interesting little dilemma for the dipshit in chief (“DIC”).

on the one hand, he has spent over a month in a spittle-flecked rage over leaks of classified information. this, of course, is a MASSIVE potential [wiki]leak of highly classified information.

on the other hand, julian is the DIC’s boy toy.

what to do, what to do.

OH!! i’ve got it! “this is because that bad (and sick) african muslim obama didn’t secure our most precious secrets because he hates america. what a bad (and sick) muslim african. this is the muslim african’s fault. also, the nazi intelligence community.”

It is curious that Wikileaks never seems to come up with documents from the FSB, isn’t it?

I think it’s distinctly possible that Wikileaks is being aided by Russia-sponsored moles within the American IC community.

If the Democrats can’t figure out how to use this to brand Trump—and the Republican Party—as enemies of American security and interests, they might as well fold up shop.

I have a faint hope that the CIA/IC braintrust purposefully “allowed” a planned batch of information to be vulnerable to Wikileaks as a means of identifying who’s helping them on the inside.

If they don’t have a means to stop this, then no American intelligence asset anywhere in the world is safe, including those in the Middle East working against ISIS and other Islamic terror groups.

Fun stuff, I used to at least somewhat respect what they did. At least on principle. But getting involved in politics and seemingly leaving the nastiest countries alone, giving them ammo to use against the US, is hardly in keeping with their goals. It just further hurts transparency. As the most opaque will keep right on being that way.

This is on Trump’s watch. Donald Trump: Enemy of the American People!

This is Russia trying to say both sides hack, to make it seem ok that they interfered with our elections. This is a constant effort by Russia to say that everyone else is just as bad as them to make their own corrupt dictatorship seem normal.

This is his gift to Trump. If the CIA won’t play nice with Trump and the Russians, then he’ll try to neuter the CIA and its cyber warfare efforts (or at least put them years behind the curve in trying to find new ways to deal with cyberattacks).

That’s if any of the info dumped can be verified. Of course, the only reason he’s doing it now is due to the fact that Assange knows damn well that neither Trump or the Republicans will do anything to him.

PRI’s “Marketplace” actually introduced a segment called “Squirrel!” where they talk about the stuff the tweets are supposed to distract us from.

So, what I’m somewhat curious about is how T-rumpus will respond.

We he actually openly praise this in some weird way (I wouldn’t at all put it past him, he’s been that obvious before) or go with the * crickets * option?

But of course the media will not jump on it, will not persistently report on unauthenticated materials that were stolen illegally, and will not thereby help spread the PeePee narrative.

Right?

And… the IC better speed it up – indict and jail them yesterday. We are racing against the clock…
