Now that the AG has weighed in, time for another lawsuit, which will overturn this rule as being sabotage.
Either that, or just phone it in. “Yeah, we’re a party to this suit, but we’re not going to present any arguments whatsoever.”
I would withdraw from the lawsuit and make Republicans sue to defend their undemocratic behavior. Win or lose, you win.

Filing a legal brief stipulating that WI accepts the government’s case to reject the lawsuit in its entirety should have an interesting effect.

So take the Scott Fucking Walker approach and do it anyway, then let the mouth-breathers go through a year-long process to sue to reverse the decision.

I can’t say I understand this. Evers campaigned on withdrawing from the lawsuit, and is now trying to withdraw from the lawsuit. He’s doing so by trying to navigate his way through the make-it-up-as-we-go-along rules that the Republicans who were in power left for him. Where’s the flip flop? Or is this just standard Repub lying?
Yes Flip-Flop is a horrible mischaracterization. Seems like they meant he changed his wording from “I order you to do this” to “lets explore how this can be done”…and used Flip-Flop as shorthand

Unfortunately, I’m beginning to think Evers is too weak to handle Voss and Fitzgerald, especially with the Rs controlling the other two branchs of government. We elected him to head our school system and for some reason people thought that that success meant he could be an effective governor.
He was the most milquetoast candidate in either primary. I don’t know how he won that. And then just barely squeaked out a win against Wanker. Wisconsin has become a weird media-controlled environment. It isn’t just Fox. The local media is so pliant and complacent…none of the Snott Wanker, Robin (Punch Me) Vos, Scott (I wouldn’t trust me with your kids) Fitzgerald atrocities really made any waves here. I say this with some certainty. I don’t watch local news religiously or follow state or local papers closely. Only news junkies would know what is going on. Your average low info human could not find a local channel that would spell it out for them. Just trite bland robotic hypnotic rote recitalism. And now, how about that weather or that sports team Kevin? Local news and TV stations just caused a multi-million dollar shutdown of the Madison WI metro system and public schools of S WI because they swore we were going to have 7-10 inches of snow over 2 days. But not one of those stations over the last 35 years have ever once mentioned or tackled global warming. We are supposed to tune into CH 27 StormCenter or CH 15 KeepUSafe WeCare but they won’t report real news and just keep the hypey human interest WeCare crap flowing and move on to Weather and Sports recaps.
Yes local news covered some of the recall and demonstrations news. But it was so sanitized and “here we see your government being dismantled by your government and here are some Library Ladies who are upset and now what about the big rainstorm that we are expecting Kyle?” might be the only exposure your average rube would hear.
Somebody won Paul Ryan’s seat and it was an R, even though the Dem had good traction and media waves for more than a year before the election…some No Name republican won the seat and I am not sure the local media even spent 5 minutes on any of it. The numbers in the WI House and Senate didn’t budge. It’s just Vanillaville here if TV is your portal on “what do you know?” well the answer is “not much, you?”
This was once a very vocal and democratic and progressive state. Proudly so. I believe a toxic combination of Kochs run amok and absolute and abject media complacency (utter lack of journalism or alternative activism) turned a very considerable % of the citizenry into zombies.
