I hate it when I agree with the right, but from Hamas to ISIS to MILF to Al Qaeda there is a significant percentage of Muslims who are taught these outrageous practices. To deny that is to be willfully ignorant and only extends the duration of the problem. Wahhabism and the jihad mentality need to be addressed head on, not apologized for and excused.Yes, Christians did (insert horrible practice here) a few centuries back, and yes, there are still some intolerant ignorant Christians hurting people today. But until I turn on the news and see a plane full of Jehovah Witnesses crashing into populated buildings or armed packs of Baptists running around Utah beheading Mormons, the 800 lb religion in the room throwing the temper tantrum in this era is Islam, and it needs to get a hold of itself.

Only as long as Israel permits it - Israel is withholding building material. Israel is withholding electricity, Israel is withholding food, water. Israel is the monster here and needs to be stopped!

Darkness for Peace? Perhaps the Gazans are such “animals” because they stay up too late, and dear concerned Netanyahu wants to see that they get to bed earlier.

There is no excuse for this abuse of civilians other than a considered policy of abusing civilians. Likud and the rest of the Israeli right-wing does this to create Palestinian anger and increase Palestinian desperation because that will result in more violence by Palestinians (ineffective violence, but quite media-worthy) that the current government of Israel can use as an excuse to continue their slow march toward ethnic cleansing of Palestinian populations.

They know exactly what they are doing.

Israel is looking out for Israel.
The Palestinian people need leaders who will do the same for them, people who will negotiate a peace and lead them into the twenty first century.
As long as the stated goal of Hamas is the destruction of Israel then Israel is going to rightly try and keep them from accomplishing that.
I don’t disagree that the people of Gaza are suffering, I just don’t believe their current leaders want to rectify the situation as much as take advantage of it. I think Hamas hates Israel more than they care about the Palestinians.

This is such petty and punitive bullshit. Almost equally as sad as this inhuman treatment is the fact that this is a political win inside Israel. I hope that country comes to discover it’s conscience sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I mean, if the people of Gaza continue their support for Hamas, then Israel is under no obligation to consider them human beings. It’s a complete mystery to me why the Palestinians are so filled with anger towards Israel.

Believe what you like, in the end anger towards either side isn’t going to do anything but get more people killed. Israel as a nation isn’t going anywhere, they will have to find a way to live together, which is not going to happen until they elect someone who wants that outcome.

I gave up on Israel ten years ago when the settlers murdered Rabin and the Likud party made sure their plan to kill any possibility of a two state solution succeeded.

Both sides are committing war crimes but the Israeli side is getting support from the US and the West generally. Likud deliberately provokes unrest and then uses it as pretext for more US aid. And the idiots in Congress vote for it knowing that AIPAC will punish them otherwise.

Time to cut off support.
