Discussion for article #222600
Itâs worth remembering that Paul is crazy. This limits the power of rational analysis to disclose his âmotivesâ.
"The thing is, this is about judgment. And we're talking about, should we as a country have a commander-in-chief who does a fake filibuster about drones spying on Americans, then says he doesn't care if drones are used to kill terrorists, and then gives us nothing but spin?"
(edited for accuracy)
What Iâm thinking, just regarding political strategy â arenât the Republicans pretty much exhausting this line of attack before itâs particularly useful to them? Seems to me Hilary is just sitting on the sidelines, letting them play with this pretend controversy as much as they want. By the time there is an actual campaign, they will be flogging the deadest of dead horses, seems to me.
ââŚThere is some disagreement on the right on what exactly his angle isâŚâ
Really?
It seems pretty clear to me. His angle is to do or say anything to keep his government welfare checks coming.
Rand, like most Repubs, is scared spitless of intelligent women.
POTUS BHO: âI am by nature a counter puncher.â Same thing they did in '12âlet the GOP Klown Kar punch itself out before the general ever began. Aliâs Rope-a-Dope.
Rand Paul will never be president. Ever.
Itâs argle-bargle all the time from this idiot.
Focusing on Lewinsky instead of the rising threat of terrorism like Clinton was doing was one of the paths that led to 9/11. Anyone who is still focused on Lewinsky as an item of national concern should therefore be exempted from office.
âFiring up the baseâ?The base has been full-bore howling screaming fired up for years now. They donât need firing up any more. And those fires on the right lost them the 2012 electionâespecially when they reached the ammo dumps.
Rand Paul (in an effort to try to elevate himself to Hillaryâs level) just looks like mouse nibbling at a tigerâs paws.
Ridiculous.
NSA wiretapping is about 99th on the list of salient issues for 2016. Right-wingers donât care about it at all. Oh, theyâll give it lip service, but all they really care about is Benghazi. And no liberal is going to vote for Rand Paul on the basis of this issue.
Paul is attacking Hillary because he has nothing positive to offer. No Republican does.
RANDY is an attention whore. He will say anything to get in the press. And the press is lazy enough where they oblige.
Rand is doing the whip up the base song and dance. Also notice how he is talking about voter ID laws not being good? Why would he do that? He knows that he needs the young folks vote in the primaries. Rand knows that the voter ID laws hurt young folks too. Nothing in politics just happens. There is always a reason.
You see what theyâre doing to the republican rep Justin Amash because he expressed concern. Hey, to right-wingers, itâs a job creator.
Lots of people said that a bona fide buffoon like G W Bush would never be president. Rand could pull this off.
Hillary may be riding high in the polls now but sheâs got loads of baggage, both real and that which was dreamed up by the brightest diseased minds of the GOP a generation ago.
So true. Now if we can only get our side to realize that 2014 is just as important if not more than 2012 was.
Every politician has baggage. Like always, the presidential candidate with the most votes wins. Thatâs been the dem in the last two elections.
And honestly, what do republicans have to offer? Theyâve demonstrated again and again that theyâve got nothing of value for most Americans, just a lot of cheap rhetoric.
Not a job creator.
Rand Paul canât stop talking. Period. And yes, he and the rest of the right-wing dwarfs know theyâd have a very hard time beating Hillary Clinton.
