Hmmmmm…is that sound I hear the noose tightening a bit more?

One can only hope.

Good reporting. I feel sure that Mueller is investigating these transactions.

There may be serious upcoming turmoil. For whatever it’s worth, Sater chimes in on his and Trump’s future:

Update: The article now appears to be behind a paywall.

Money-laundering.

As an aside, one of the best lines in Edinburgh this year was:

“I’ve given up asking rhetorical questions. What’s the point?”

Felix Sater’s encounters are going to drip, drip, drip! And at the same time, we’ve got keep track of his predictions too!

Wasn’t Iceland one of those countries tRump’s campaign sent solicitations to by way of email to their politicians during election season? I thought that was one of them. I never heard any followup on those foreign solicitations either. Wonder how he got away with that. Seems to be a another violation of campaign finance laws. Lemme guess, the FEC (that toothless bastard of an agency) let him off the hook.

Yep. Here it is. Iceland was one of the countries…along with Scotland, Australia and others…

And here’s the particular law in question that pertains to that matter I believe:

Funny how anyone at the FEC could read that law and not see a problem with what tRump’s campaign did…or did they even bother to rule on it once he won the electoral vote? Seems like that one went down the rabbit hole. I hope Mueller adds this shit to his list of crap that tRump has brought to the fore.

When you google or wikipedia (is that a verb yet?) Flugfélag Íslands or Loftleiðir, all you get in English is stuff on the history of IcelandicAir. Nothing about a little nordic country.

Steven Harper has created, and posted on Bill Moyers’ website, an interactive timeline of every piece of info we have to date regarding PeePee and his Russia ties. It’s pretty damn great and should be a bookmark for everyone as this case comes together.

Yes, they did spam the Icelandic legislators back during that hilarious episode. My personal hypothesis was that they had the email info from past business deals – remember, Scottish MPs got those solicitation emails too – and for whatever reason someone decided to add them to their campaign mailing list. (Federal Election Law? Whuzzat?)

It’s been pretty well established that no reputable banks (other than Deutsche Bank) would lend Trump money after his many bankruptcies. Therefore, he had to turn to Russian financiers, many of whom were seeking to launder money grabbed through theft. It’s really not hard to add 2+2 to equal 4; I’m pretty sure Mueller and his team know how to follow the money trail. The indictments can’t come fast enough to suit me.

… i.e., no reputable banks.

The Bayrock/FL deal sounds like what happens when your bar is in debt and you get a “loan” from the Mafia to keep it running, and pretty soon you’re lucky if they still let you in the door.

So true, I thought about amending my post to reflect that. Perhaps “no big banks” would have been more accurate.

Here’s betting dollars to donuts that the email list for the Iceland solicitation came directly from the FL Group.

I wonder why Trump and Mnuchin are pushing so hard for bank reform and removing bank regulations on asset ratios and disclosure on loans and money wiring (cash disbursements). Basically Trump and Mnuchin want money trails to be a lot harder for investigators and auditors to understand and to be able to trace.

If you think the George Bush Financial collapse was a disaster and nearly calamitous to the system and our economy, you haven’t seen anything if Trump & Mnuchin get their way. Sadly, the oversight by Congress (McConnell and Ryan) have never realized their job of protecting the US economy means strong and thorough banking system regulations…in fact, they are both way too friendly to the banks and several US Oligarchs who make a lot of money though shady banking transactions including Blackrock.

Thye next financial system collapse will wipe out the US Economy - Trump has no idea what he’s doing…none.

It’s going to be hard to get to the truth in this. There’s some 4 dimensional deception and ass covering going on and most of the players are not touchable by American authorities. If someone can find a link between Trump, payback and Russia that will be sweet. Absent that nothing is going to come of this.
