While everyone on the Left makes the apt comparison to the movie, Frankenstein, regarding the Rethugs, I think another cautionary tale we should be invoking is that of Pandora’s Box. Once everything evil came out, it couldn’t be put back… Mankind just learns to live with them in different ways. In addition, the “hope” that’s come out only empowers the racists and morons who were previously demoralized.

Both Trump and Cruz are cynically exploiting xenophobic passions they will not be able to control. The racists they openly court are amassing an arsenal unfettered and are training for the day when they will wage their own version of jihad against everyone except white christians. We saw a glimpse of it with Dylan Roof. Now they have their dream candidate in Trump – but people stockpiling guns obviously do not intend to rely on the political process to deliver them power.
