Discussion: White Nationalist Scores Press Credentials, Interview With Trump Jr

Discussion for article #246768

The 15th Amendment is a prime example of political correctness run amok. If God intended black people to vote he would have put accessible polling places closer to their homes and made it easier to acquire 7 forms of valid photo ID.

It’s a peek preview of the slow-motion national train wreck we all will experience if T. Rump is elected POTUS: White Nationalists in the Washington Press Corps and skin heads in the Lincoln Bedroom. It’s secular blasphemy and mass moral transgression to let Rump anywhere near the Oval Office.

I find it odd how many bald folk support trump since he is so very vain and sensitive about his “do”.
Bald folk who host racist BS on the airwaves…
Bald folk wearing bed sheets and burning crosses…

The racism I saw 1st hand 50 years ago is raising its ugly putrid head.

GOPers are mad as hell and voting in droves. Democrats came out at a rate less than 2008… This worries me considerably.

Edwards is openly dismissive of the concept of racism—he is the author a book called “Racism, Schmacism”—though his blog posts frequently extoll the natural superiority of white Americans.

He shared an op-ed from the Jamaican Observer in praise of slavery in an August blog post, commenting, “For blacks in the Americas, slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to them.”

This white boy disavows the POS known as James Edwards. He does not speak for me! Seriously, Mr. Trump, you are an inhumane piece of garbage, in my eyes. Go on, please, and keep courting these types. Hillary Clinton is going to mop the floors with you on Election Night. Mark my words.

Mister Whitey should be careful, if he let any hair on his body grow out, it might be black.

What the fuck is required before TPM will label someone a white supremacist? Thinking that slavery was the best thing to happen to black people is a pretty goddamned good indicator of white supremacist beliefs. Enough with the white nationalist PC bullshit.

I know. Though I am only 50yo this year, I can remember some incidents in my childhood – and they aren’t nice memories. I am doing to go on a personal mission to get as many people in my circle of friends, family and acquaintances as I can to ensure they are registered and to vote. I want to keep Virginia as blue as possible – no backsliding.

I vividly remember standing and watching MLK deliver his “I have a dream” speech in Washington in ‘63. I was young but my parents impressed upon me Negroes (their words, hey, it was the 60s) had been getting mistreated for many years and if they ever caught me treating them badly there would be hell to pay. I still hear those words (my parents’ and MLK’s) ring in my ears today. Goddamned Republican bigots really piss me off.

Not to worry. Let’s look at some vote totals (in 000’s) from last night:

            Trump Hillary

VA 356 504

MA 311 604

GA 502 543

OK 130 139

She beats him. And based on what I’ve been hearing, the Dems will coalesce around her, while the GOP will not effectively support him.

[NB That did not come out looking as I intended. First # for Trump, in 000’s, second for Clinton.]

Pundits and election experts have been wrong on every damned aspect of Trump’s candidacy from day one. Nearly every major publication, for many days, has been running op-eds and analysis detailing how Trump’s nomination will destroy the Republican Party as we know it, and how various elected Republicans will either sit out the election or actually cast a vote for Hillary. I say that’s all BS. When it comes to election day Republicans will support and vote for Trump. Party loyalty and animus toward Hillary and Democrats will prevail over any disagreements with Trump.

Amen, brother. Democrats are motivated, and just wait until BHO is campaigning for Hillary and drives it home that what is at stake is everything we have gained over two Obama terms. It’s not a lock, but far too early for Dems to despair. We likely will see a landslide victory for Clinton over Trump.

Maybe, maybe not. But it does seem clear that the party apparatus, including endorsements, PAC’s, and get-out-the-vote, will not be humming along for Trump.
