Amazing how many ways they’ve found to obstruct justice. It’s the one thing Trump and friends are good at. - to a point. They discover novel ways to obstruct, but ultimately their attempts keep getting exposed. For some reason, however, the exposure rarely brings more than a count or two and limited repercussions.

But the shutdown is over, fading in the rear window (well, not for contractors who are not going to get paid for 5 weeks of twiddling thumbs, but for everyone else).

I have mixed feelings about these investigations. On the one hand, YES, drag everyone and everything out of the GOP’s filthy closet and shine a spotlight on all of it! On the other hand, Mueller. The special prosecuter’s investigation is THE thing. Don’t hamper it. Just get your hands on it the second it’s done. THEN get out that spotlight.

OF COURSE, they are. Donnie likes to think he is the master of distraction…and he’s pretty good. THIS time however, he has met the law…not the ‘law’ that the GOP House practiced where it was hide and collude and run for FOX but the actual law.

Ask your kid for their report card, they cough it up immediately, and it has bad grades. You talk it out, figure out how to improve, offer suggestions, try to empathize.

Ask your kid for their report card. They stall, make excuses, have to be asked five times, lie about where it is, or if they even have it, finally take a few days to produce it. It has bad marks. Methinks your willingness to be understanding, patient and helpful will by that point be long ago exhausted. You might just skip all that and proceed to the sanctions and punishment phase.

Trump is the embodiment of the Republican party as it has come to be. They are proud to be out and loud about it, and won’t be happy to have to go back into the closet (or under their rocks). My hope is that precisely that view will be their downfall.
