Discussion: White House: Trump Will ‘Absolutely’ Sign Joint Resolution On Charlottesville

The President was clear as krystallnacht

I guess it’s hard to condemn the Klan when your father marched with them…

Of course this “Consensus of Congress” is meaningless.

But read the words. It is pretty forceful, and slams KKK, white supremes, and puts the violence in Charlottesville squarely on extreme right-wingnuts. It calls it “domestic terrorism” several times. It takes no prisoners, so to speak.

If Trump signs this (I have my doubts) he would be admitting he was wrong in his statements, and is calling it domestic terrorism for the first time to my knowledge.

Not a Big whoopty do, but at least a minor whoopty do.

The traitors and terrorists in the white nationalist movement, who absolutely should be chastened humiliated back down into a dark hole, won’t be. They know The Rump doesn’t really mean it.

Their sympathizers and enablers in the larger Republican Party, who in no way should feel the least bit absolved by any of this, will absolutely feel vindicated. They can’t be racists; they signed a resolution!
