Discussion: White House: Trump Made It 'Very Clear' NZ Massacre Is An 'Act Of Terror'

But did he use the magic words: white supremacist terrorism?

Otherwise it doesn’t count.

At least he didn’t say there were good people on both sides.

“I just spoke with the President, he made it very clear this is an act of terror,” White House Director of Strategic Communications Mercedes Schlapp told Fox News on Friday.

The president is so remarkably thoughtful and eloquent in private. Many, many people say so. But when he comes out and speaks in public, only drooling idiocy tumbles out. It’s so strange. I wonder why this could be.

“… the President will be reaching out this afternoon to the prime minister of New Zealand.”

If I were her, I’d have someone else in the room with me.

This isn’t an act of terror. It’s a lone-wolf incident by a severely disturbed individual, totally unconnected with anything else out there.

Now, if he had been a Black or Brown Muslim, that would be an act of terror.

If I were her, I would openly and unequivocally lay part of the blame for this attack at his feet. And then I would hang up on him.

How long will it take before Trump himself is forced to speak publicly about this. He’s rather sensitive about his white nationalist demographic.

He’s not in front of one of his cracker-ass rallies, either.

Exactly my thoughts. Has Trump said anything publicly at all yet? Because you know he would have if the perpetrator were a Muslim or immigrant. As such, no doubt his supporters recognize the dog whistle that he’s not really bothered by it. I try to give him every benefit of the doubt, unearned as it is, but can think of no other explanation for not publicly stating his revulsion to these horrific acts.

If it was perfectly clear that he said it was an “act of terror” then he must have been speaking Esperanto, because I sure as hell didn’t get that inference.

I think it’s about time for all of the kitchen staff in the major restaurants in DC to start giving Mercedes Schlapp some complimentary “special sauce” with every meal she orders. And her husband, too.

Oh, and Ms. Schlapp: have fun when Trump finally goes down, because I do not think that many in DC have much use for a used “Mercedes”.

This “meme” goes back some years with the Right wing freaks: if POTUS says that it’s an act of terror, then that’s all that makes the difference. Nothing else. Just saying those magical words clarifies everything.

Will ANY reporter have the balls of steel to bring up the fact that the shooter not only saw Rump as being a fellow every traveler of racial hatred but called Rump out specifically, as “a symbol of White identity”?

This needs to hung around the necks of every single RW freak alive.

Then there’s NZ’s gun culture.

“New Zealand is almost alone with the United States in not registering 96 percent of its firearms — and those are its most common firearms, the ones most used in crimes,” said Philip Alpers of GunPolicy.org, a clearinghouse for gun law data worldwide. “There are huge gaps in New Zealand law, even if some of its laws are strong.”

Bullshit, the Pestilential Pretender has made his message crystal clear and it is this: https://qz.com/1436267/trump-stochastic-terror-and-the-hate-that-ends-in-violence/

This is reassuring, it’s his standardized mass murder message.

My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!

Best wishes? What the fuck?
One of his staff weenies told him to tweet something sympathetic . This is the best he can do by himself. Sociopath sympathy indeed

“Warmest sympathy”, after such a tragedy, just jars. He’s never heard of deepest sympathy, I suppose.
