Replacing, no. Firing and daily attempt to obstruct, YES.
Just a lot of breathless whispering of incoherent orders coming from the orange-top-in chief.
Using sign language now to avoid a paper trail?
âThere are no conversations or discussions about removing Mr. Mueller,â spokesperson Hogan Gidley told reporters onboard Air Force One on Monday.
Well thenâŚeveryone who believes this throw a buck on the floor.
And Hogan Gidley??? Who dat?
âThere are no closed-door backroom discussions about firing Bob Mueller, because weâre having those discussions publicly on Twitterâ
Of COURSE there are no âConversationsâ about it.
Emperor Trump merely has to muse; âWill no one rid me of this troublesome Special Investigator?â and it will get done by the minions.
Regardless of the breathless âassurancesâ and spin, some things are just plain obvious.
I canât believe nobody pushed back when Hogan Gidley said there were no talks about firing Mueller. Trump talks about ending the probe all the time. I feel like it has been a staple of his weekend Twitter meltdowns since at least December.
I was going to say something like âand Hitler wasnât talking about invading Polandâ, but it doesnât quite work.
T-rumpus is broadcasting his intentions right smack dab out in the open.
When you say in the same goddamn breath that Trump considers it to be âthe biggest witch hunt in history,â you have to allow that perhaps the White House has contributed itself to all the regrettable confusion on this subject. P.S. If I were one of the big kids I remember from school I would snatch up little Hogan and push his face in the dirt till he cried, and the other-kid onlookers would regard it as rough justice he had coming to him, the punk-ass liar. Perhaps some adult version of that is sailing toward him. I certainly hope so.
No conversations but plenty of grunting and throwing of feces.
âThere are no conversations or discussions about removing Mr. Mueller,â
This would be more reassuring if
a) Trump didnât have a history of contradicting his press people within hours of their solemn declarations
b) Trump ever told the truth
c) Trump didnât have a well documented history of impulsively changing his mind
Hogan Gidley this afternoon or sometime soon:
âTrump believes Muellerâs probe into his campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election is the âbiggest witch hunt in historyââŚâ
Sec. Clinton might disagree.
(But then, of course, sheâd be told to shut up and go away.)
After her apology.
Gidley reiterated that Trump believes Muellerâs probe into his campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election is the âbiggest witch hunt in historyâ
âThere Are No Conversations About Replacing Mueller.â There are Interior Monologues. Trump is talking to himself about firing Mueller and not replacing him.
I love how this WH frames thingsâŚâThere are no conversations about replacing MuellerâŚâ and they forgot to say TODAY or THIS MINUTE but hey stay tuned and Baby Donnie will tweet some nonsense SOON.
I suspect that, at this point, Mr Mueller and his brethren have several contingency plans, color-coded and numbered and ready to put into action should the Orange One actually find a mechanism for dismissing the lead investigator.
Conversations involve reasonable talking back and forth. Whatâs going on in the WH is just Donald yelling and screaming bloody murder and tweeting some of his rants.
