Has he spoken of the role of his former Chief of Staff in how long it took for the murder to be known to the public, the possibility that it was buried so as not to hurt Rahm’s reelection?
I’m trying recall that phrase Gore set loose on us, inconvenient something, something, oh yeah, truth.
The one time he doesn’t speak out about it, it’s Chicago… Come on dude.
I don’t remember the case, but another loser “victim” criminal made a legal claim that he couldn’t get a fair trial because the President commented on his case. So the Pres tries not to comment to avoid dismissals on technicalities.
One can only imagine how President Obama must feel, watching a young black man executed by the police in a city run by a good friend, not to mention a cover-up.
Great! Maybe he can describe it to Rahm to, you know, keep him in the loop.
I think that was Charles Manson and Richard Nixon. Nixon commented that he thought Manson was guilty, the press picked it up and a newspaper with that headline was held up so that sequestered jurors could see it from their bus window as they traveled to the trial.
His election was April 7, so I think it’s pretty unlikely the investigation dragging on for a year had anything to do with a reelection bid that was nearly 8 months ago and won by an 11 point margin. I would also imagine that Obama having been a black man living in Chicago long before Rahm became mayor isn’t foolish enough to think his leadership has a damn thing to do with the corruption and abuses of the CPD.
Has President Obama been told about the other edited video ?
The issue is he comes out against it in 99% of cases, but, the ONE time he held back it was a Chicago Cop. I’m a huge fan of Obama but this was a slight bit obnoxious to choose CHI for the shooting he choses to not opine on.
