Putin skyped McConnell at 2am and gave a thumbs down.

“The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to
party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is
itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The
disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation on the ruins of public liberty.”-George Washington in his Farewell Address

The Republicans will oppose all efforts to reduce election hacking, gerrymandering, and voter suppression. They like the results that each of those produces.

Today’s GOP: If you can’t win fair and square CHEAT.

Where are all those “good republicans” fighting for the means to block election hacking. (Pro tip: they’ve all left the party, one way or another)

Shelby is from Alabama, not Mississippi. Also, Senate Rules and Administration committee, not House. AP gettin sloppy.

But, the GOP have very reliable allies in all those folks who voted for Nader and who continue to self righteously chant that there is an equivalency between the Malignant Dixiecrat-John Bircher-Fundamentalist Capitalist GOP and the Democrats…

Not too sure this happened with Gore in 2000, but in 2016 these folks were, at a minimum, manipulated by the Trump leaning bots supplied by Russia… IMHO that’s cheating

And Sen. Klobuchar doesn’t sit on the House Rules Committee.

“How can we spend money and take important steps to defend democracy and the integrity of elections when we have trillion dollar tax cuts for the rich and maintaining our power to defend?”

Priorities, you know.

Once again, Republicans promote the fear of too much government overreaching. And the electorate accepts that fear, ignoring the more horrible fact that if you do not protect your election system… somebody else’s government will overreach right into it.

If you think your vote doesn’t count now, wait until Putin (or whomever) casts your vote for you.

Please turn this issue into campaign ads. Swing voters understand cheating and corruption hammer this point. Where are Cruz, Heller, and Fischer on this issue? Make them take a stand.

Imagine that a left leaning country has been identified as interfering in our elections to help elect Democrats. Now imagine Republican’s quibbling about added paperwork to protect voting integrity.

They voted 90,000 for Nader in Florida. This was at least 90X the slim margin by which W won Florida and thus the Presidency.

A distinction that only Alabamans are quick to make.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Just two months before the midterm elections, bipartisan legislation to try to prevent foreign hacking into U.S. election systems is stalled in Congress as the White House and some Republicans worry it could exert too much federal control over the states.

Quick and ardent to resist federal control over the sovereign state of _______; not so fast to resist federal money and pork barrel.

All the ballots should be paper, and we should darned well just wait an extra day to know the results, if that’s what it takes.

Isn’t this the UNITED States of America? Trump and the GOP have changed ‘E Pluribus Unum’ to ‘Good luck- you’re on your own’.

AGAINST PAPER BALLOTS because they are a financial BURDEN!???

Clearly the Republican Senators ALREADY IN PUTIN’S POCKET will stop at nothing to subvert all elections to continue hijacking the system in their and Russia’s favor.

They should be tried for treason, frankly.
