That just might be because heā€™s already told us a half-dozen times about a half-dozen ways that we are getting the money out of Mexico without their cooperation, yet he continues to grouse about Congress not providing the money.

My impression is that he is suggesting that he can and will pull the money from the mammoth (and admittedly bloated) defense budget. (How much money went to Iraq without any ability to trace it?) At this point, perhaps Putin will pay for the wall, just for the sake of his lilā€™ buddy.

At least the right people are arguing. This whole thing about trying to blame the Dems is bullshit. Republicans STILL have control of all three branches of government, but still havenā€™t figure out how to govern. tRump thinks bullying and hostage-taking works, and McConnell and Ryan have no freaking clue.

If tRump isnā€™t willing to accept a compromise (other than give me money), then the GOP is truly stuck, and we get to suffer for it. There are people (like tRump SS detail) that will be forced to work and get paid later. Think about that- tRumpā€™s SS detail will be protecting him, while worrying about when they get paid, while he pisses away 17 days Golfing and retching on Twitter. Congress has to authorize the back pay, and since it will probably fall on the new Dem-controlled Congress, I suspect there will be a lot fewer problems doing just that.

This is what unfairness looks like.

I think it is becoming clear that Trumpā€™s allies in the Senate are less and less tied to him. That makes the next two years interesting. There will be three balls in the air at all times.
