The White House says President Donald Trump made more than $150 million in income in 2005 and paid $38 million in income taxes that year.

I could couldn’t care less about this. What I’d like to see are his income sources, partnerships, write offs…you know…the details.

Becuz that’s where the Devil lives, right?

It better be good after all this buildup.

ā€œYou know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago,ā€ the White House said in a statement.

Trump: 'I love WikiLeaks’

You know you are desperate when you applaud illegal hacking and release of data that helps you, and call people desperate who do the same to hurt you.

No shit. I think we need about 10 years at least of returns and more than a couple of pages if that’s all she has.

Sounds like David Kay J. will 'splain it to us.

$150,000,000 in income? Assuming a 10% return, that would mean a net worth of $1.5 billion - not nearly the $10 billion he claims.

Unless there’s a legit smoking gun hidden in the numbers, it’s another oversold Al Capone vault opening.

This could be the dam breaking.

Unless there’s something here that points out explicitly illegal activities, or ties him directly to the Russian mob, this isn’t going to change the dynamic of Trump’s situation right now. Maybe it would have during the the campaign, but not now. So far, checking Josh’s twitter and the Guardian link, there’s nothing revealed that’s anything different from what we’d expect—he used the tax laws to his own benefit. That’s certainly not going to cut into his support among the GOP base.

I hope I’m wrong and maybe something will be gleaned that will be truly damning, but all this tax info will do is confirm prevailing opinion, not change it. Dems and progressives will use to buttress their argument that he’s just another rich chiseler working the system, and Republicans will say ā€œSo what? That’s the American way.ā€

I hope he 'splains it good 'cause my brain don’t do math so good this late.

When Nixon said, ā€œI’m not a crook,ā€ he was talking about his tax returns, not Watergate. Nixon ended up paying $500,000 in back tazes.

The Ryblolveyev (sp,) real eastate deal took place in 2008. What can be revealed here other than, perhaps, a broad ā€œsailing close to the windā€ and unsavory approach to dealing with the IRS?

Fuck, you don’t want much do you? This could be the dam breaking.

Trump will never ā€˜release’ his tax returns voluntarily. Only a subpoena will force the issue.

Yes, it’s a leak in the dam that is feeling the pressure. More will come.
