I am not totally sure this is ok. I support everything he wants to do but for it to be lasting and have any meaning to it, it needs to be a law. As this is, it would just galvonice gun nuts to scream see we told you. Not to mention what authority he would be going with here to make it apply to a broad enough group to make it matter.

Remember when Bush said “Americans are addicted to oil?”
A lot of people in America have cut back on their oil “addiction”–but no one is cutting back on their addiction to guns.
Guns are what make the impotent and powerless feel powerful.
I finally figure out why these impotent people want “open carry.” They want to intimidate everyone in everyday life transactions into never crossing them or resisting them.

This is exactly what they were aiming for. They’ve been telling their members (and anyone else who would listen) that Obama is coming for their guns, making it damn near impossible for this administration to implement any type of restriction on gun ownership. Even though gun restrictions have DECREASED during this administration, my otherwise intelligent neighbor, who is a very responsible gun owner and hunter, is convinced that Obama has been working tirelessly to take everyone’s guns away. I’ll give you three guesses where he got this idea, and I’ll give you a hint by telling you he doesn’t watch FOX News.
