Discussion: White House Offers New Spin On Rob Porter's Background Check

“I’m not aware of any communication,” Sanders said. “I can’t say definitively. But I’m not aware of any communication.”

If press briefings were limited to communications Sanders is aware of, they would take less time.

For being a supposed Christian, she sure is a big fat liar.

OK so we’re settling into a pattern with the scandal du jour where they offer an explanation, then that explanation gets exploded by one of their own, or by another agency, or outside reporting, it hardly matters. Boom goes the excuse. Then they tee up excuse No. 2. Boom goes that one. No. 3. Boom. And so on, and now I’m curious how many excuses they can offer and have shot down in a given scandal cycle. Maybe we should keep a tally? It would be like a hitter fouling balls off one after the other, or an effort to pogo-stick enough times to set a world record. I can’t keep the records myself but if someone would it would be a community service.

Exactly. I smell a “go back and try again” response from the WH when told no.

This equality can be proven rigorously, for sufficiently small values of 5.

Okay, Don, we’re all ready for today’s version of the lashing-out tweet about how the hateful Democrats and fake media have taken down a “good and honorable man,” when Kelly has to leave.

“In the view of Personnel Security Office, the FBI’s July report required significant additional investigatory field work before
Personnel Security Office could begin to evaluate the information for adjudication,” she continued.

So weird how a newspaper in the UK figured it out before someone in the DT administration. If I didn’t know better, I’d think they were all unbelievably incompetent at every task.

Okay, so a guy who gets access to the most highly classified information and has daily access to the president can’t get a security clearance. The FBI informs the White House of ALL of the problems in his background that will prevent him from getting that clearance in JULY. The Administration keeps him on staff in a highly sensitive position despite the lack of a clearance and despite the fact they know he has physically abused his two former wives. And we’re to believe that this is all the fault of the Personnel Office? These people are shameless…

This degraded circus is so depressingly insane.

Vile bottom-feeders ineptly lurching our country into the gutter, cheered on by an increasingly detached yet supportive base, unaware of what truth and decency even look like. Shameful.

“The White House Personnel Security Office, staffed by Obama Holdovers, received information last year on what they considered to be the final background investigation report in November,” Sanders said. “But they had not made a final recommendation for adjudication to the White House because to them, destroying this White House mattered.”

Not even a real newspaper! The freaking Daily Fail, er, Mail!

I was hoping the scandal would spread to the Mormon Church. The way these abuses are/ were handled by the all-male hierarchy needs to change, but that’s probably asking a lot.

Maybe the attitudes and subsequent actions of the women will though, and that might be the catalyst.

…and, of course, sufficiently large values of 3.

It appears the latest Trump “scandal” is cascading righteously. Hamhock Sanders is dancing as fast as her cloven hooves will let her and still it won’t stop.

Why does anybody even bother to ask Sarah Huckabee Sanders about anything? You know anything that comes out of her mouth is going to be a lie.

I think any aggressively paternalistic organization should be worried (most religions and many corporations) and rightly so. Past time for a reckoning.

How close is Huckabee-Sanders to “speaking in tongues”.
It might make more sense.
