Discussion: White House: Obama Does Not Regret Using N-Word In 'WTF' Podcast

Discussion for article #237723

¨Journalist Jonathan Karl of ABC News asked if the President went into the interview “intending to use the word” to be "provocative¨ … Karl later came back to the topic, asking if the President was bothered that he was being bleeped out for using the word.¨

Tell me, those who have watched this reporter, is he always this inane?

Why no, the President does NOT regret using the word. In fact, he did it on purpose, with the purpose being to illustrate just where conservative media and pundits will focus their outrage. Next question… Edited for piss-poor punctuation.

Could someone please remove that stick from Jonathan Karl’s A…, um, I mean posterior.

“The President does not regret using that word, but the real question is do you Conservatives regret calling him that for the last seven and a half years?”

They all generally are at the briefings. Or that has been my impression of the few that I have seen.

“[H]is reason for using it could not be more apparent…”

…to anyone whose career has not been derailed by the perpetual Georgetown cocktail party.

The press corps and ABC’s Bush era hobby horse are very familiar with regret.

Now that I think about it, I suppose I stopped watching those things for that very reason…

The media heathers once again proving how utterly clueless they are.

Yes. Yes they are always this inane.
The world of Edward R. Murrow/Walter Cronkite JOURNALISM is long dead and buried, completely replaced by TMZ-reporting where the ONLY thing that counts is making it as Sensational as possible and getting it on the air FIRST.
Facts be damned. There is MONEY to be made here.

No, Republicans, you still don’t get a gold star for dropping no N bombs last week.

Karl is definitely someone who is out for the “gotcha” question on the President

ABC News played the whole clip of the President’s radio interview when the n-word came up AND Karl still failed to mention or address the context of the word. Talk about white privilege wow

Is there really? Outside of Foxbots, I don’t get the impression that most people (including the low-information but non-crazy people who make up ABC’s target demo) give a shit about this nonsense. It seems more a product of insider groupthink regarding what the press corpse believes is worth asking or that people want to know.

“Journalist Jonathan Karl.” That would be the definition of “oxymoron.”
