How much longer do they honestly think they can keep all the balls in the air?

Someone must really be turning the pressure up on poor Devin. Sad.

Per Politico, Kelly scolded both sides for letting the quarrel spill into public, and urged them to work together.

Both sides? C’mon - with nunes on one side, there was no way the “quarrel” (ha, more like an attempt to obstruct justice while apparently also endangering a human intelligence source) wouldn’t spill into public view. In fact, I’m sure it was intentional - more fuel for the deep-state fever dream of the rightwing punditry and base.

Ah the White House using its practiced deft touch to intervene in the conflict between the DOJ and House GOPers. I assume great, the greatest, bigly cataclysmic results within a week. Or maybe by noon today. Who can say?

For Heaven’s sake, the White House creates conflicts, it doesn’t resolve them. Everyone knows that!

Kelly scolds “both sides”? Because I’m sure there are some “very fine people” on the House side of this equation.

Is that honestly what you took away?

This is what was in the article:

“…offering a meeting but not promising the documents Republicans, led by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), are requesting.”

This needs to be resolved. Aside from Nunes withdrawing his request what else can be done? Serious question because Nunes has the right to request documents as a congressman and DOJ have a responsibility to protect sources and information, especially in this environment and with this particular congressman.

A headline I never thought I’d see: Republicans Attempt to Extort DOJ to Reveal Classified Information Related to National Security." And yet, today it’s not all that surprising.

And never forget, Paul Ryan could stop this at any moment.

Sam Rayburn would have dissolved him in acid a long time ago.

That’s what a real Speaker of the House does — to the likes of Nunes.

Don’t expect anything comparable today.

The DOJ has every right and responsibility to keep their sources safe from these clowns. Nunes et al has shown their real interest politicize this by immediately claiming its all illegitimate because ‘classified’ then proceed to try to get it declassified or leak it to prove their point. Remeber when Nunes tried this before and actually bolstered the opposing side’s argument?

…or when Gowdy asked for ‘everything’ and promised he wasn’t ‘fishing’ and nothing would get out? THAT worked out well.

Sorry. I am in the middle of looking at Trumps tax returns. I don’t have time for this small stuff.

And by “someone,” we, of course, mean his control. Those sources aren’t going to kill themselves, you know. Though that’ll be the story.

Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy and Paul Ryan: three permanent members of the Scumbags Club. These hypocrites are busy covering Hump*s Bum which is why they get into these bogus confrontations with the DOJ where another Asshole is sitting with his hands in his pocket unable or unwilling (???) to help Grump.

Considering Nunes has ulterior motives that have been visible for a year plus, and he’s supposed to be recused from this investigation, his right to request docs is questionable. The resolution is he needs to sit down and shut up.
