El Nuevo Dia is the largest Puerto Rico newspaper by circulation and I would say the local paper of record. Right before midnight tonight I cut and paste these two items from their “Minuto a Minuto” article on line at that time
10:00 p.m. - FEMA aclara que “Acueductos y Alcantarillados ha recibido de 7 a 8 generadores y cinco más estarán en camino”.
9:58 p.m. - La AAA dice que solo le llegaron tres de 150 generadores solicitados a FEMA.
At 958 PM Monday night the PR Water & Sewer Authority stated that of the 150 Electrical Generators requested of FEMA, a total of three had been delivered. Two minutes later, FEMA clarified that 7 or 8 Generators were delivered and “5 will be on the way.” I can no longer find these two items in the current “Minuto a Minuto” article. Perhaps they have been removed to prevent any embarrassing questions to the President.
However, at the risk of being a Politically Motivated Ingrate, I would have to say that even 8 generators delivered and 5 more which will be on their way any day now in response to a request for 150, almost two weeks after a Category 4 direct hit on Puerto Rico which was a Category 5 until the day before it hit, is not a great or even adequate result on the ground for FEMA. The results here speak for themselves.
