Long overdue and a welcome change… Also entertaining watching the apoplectic posturing of right-wing-nuts in impotent opposition…

Miami is going nuts with excitement. The local news is Berlin Wall-falling intense.

Beautiful Island, wonderful people, always music in the air. I hope it remains that way while seeing the Cuban people realize all the benefits of our long overdue restoration of relations.

Keep Cuba for the Cubans!

Worth noting that this is also a nice ā€œF**** Youā€ to Putin and his fevered dreams of resurrecting the Soviet Empire.

I expect a celebration in Miami. Hispanics here can really party.I can even imagine Gloria Estefan leading a conga line through Bicentennial Park.

How’s the ratio of angry-to-joyful? Most of what CNN was showing was the ANGRY ANGRY ANGRY protesters, trying to drive the ā€˜CONTROVERSY!’ narrative.

It’s mostly jubilant.
Despite the frown-y faces on Marco Rubio and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, many see this as a historic day and a positive development.

I’m glad.

Depending on the speed of change in Cuba, and the willingness of the GOP to fight the President to the death over it, this really could move like the changes of 1989-1991 did.

I think that once the Cuban people get a taste, it’s going to spread like wildfire.

Agree, and they will get a lot of help from the outside world.

Elected Democrats, take note. THIS is how you win.

You don’t run, you don’t hide, you don’t backtrack. You stand and fight for what you believe in.

You go BIG and BOLD.

With this one act, President Obama has lifted the hopes of millions of Cuban people, defused tensions and advanced prospects for greater cooperation in the Western hemisphere, further isolated our opponents, and raised the stature of the United States one more notch.

And along with his actions on immigration and China emissions, the President has taken away the momentum from the Republicans after you so cowardly allowed yourselves to be defeated, just like he did after your disastrous performance in the previous midterms.

Once again, Obama is advancing after his party’s self-inflicted defeat, and the Republicans find themselves on their heels.

After six years, have you finally realized that you have something to learn from the most successful Democrat in a generation?
