Was Trump the Birther Putin’s tool to diminish Obama’s burgeoning popularity and world respect?

…all his ‘birther’ crap started about 2011…about the same time as the MI-6 guy said Russia recruited him as a Russian mole.

The President has made it abundantly clear that these actions are unacceptable,

Really–I would like to hear one example, coming out of his own mouth (I would also accept twitter) of where he has made this “abundantly clear”. He was much more “abundantly clear” that some incident occurred in Sweden and the Obama’s birth certificate was fake (from a ‘reliable source’) and the climate change is a Chinese hoax…etc. ad nauseum.

Republican “abundance” can be very selective…

The accompanying photo should be of the White House, not Trump. Trump didn’t say anything on the subject.

Well, he’s uncomfortable in the presence of cameras and microphones.

As noted on a number of occasions elsewhere, it’s disturbing that the President hasn’t seen fit to specifically mention anti-Semitism and insists on generalizing his statements. How difficult would it be for the White House statement to take into account the criticism he has received for not mentioning the Jewish victims of the Holocaust or the Jewish community centers that are the targets of this most recent wave of anti-Semitims?

And I think Josh does a disservice to his readers even mentioning Ivanka Trump’s statement. She is a private citizen with her own reasons for issuing a statement–Judaism is her adopted religion and she is trying to preserve her own reputation. But to mention her statement here is to imply that somehow she speaks for her father or that her statement is some sort of substitute–poor though it may be–for a White House statement. And that’s not the case; her statement does not make up in any sense for a proper statement from the President.

So who do they think is doing these? I keep thinking Anti-Muslim folks will blame Muslims, but don’t feel like I seen any claims of that…

In St Louis, the first comment on the KSDK online story blamed it - - without evidence - - on the new refugees from the middle east.

Yea I’d have thought Donald and his crew would be blaming them so the fact that they are not makes me wonder if it far right christian groups and either way if there was any real evidence. Interesting no-one is taking blame. Makes me lean toward one group doing it trying to get some other group blamed.

edit: (Josh posted something about this last night and His mother is buried in this cemetery)wow and someone pushed over head stones. Was in Miami a few months back and was interesting to see an older cemetery with a fenced off Jewish section. Most cemeteries I’ve ever seen all the head stones seemed to be christian, those were the first Jewish.

Well, that’s what happens, Donald – lie down with the alt-right and wake up with neo-Nazis. I would ask what you thought was going to happen, except that you obviously never think about the consequences of your words and actions.

Even as WH PR speakers denounce violence they categorize American citizens by their faith, thereby further dividing the nation.

You want to bet that Trump won’t blame Hillary supporters, if he gets asked about this live? I’ll bet you a gift subscription.

Ivanka: “America is a nation built on the principle of religious tolerance. We must protect our houses of worship & religious centers.”
Left unsaid:
" Unless, of course, it is one of those vewy, vewy scawy religions, houses of worship & religious centers. I’m not going to say it…but you all know who we mean! THEN America is NOT a nation built on the principle of religious tolerance. We must NOT protect our houses of worship & religious centers."

“Carry on little people…BTW, do you know by how much of a YUUGE landslide Daddy won the election”

If Trump ever personally denounces antisemitism, he will only do so reluctantly. Can’t do anything to upset the alt-right, white supremacists now, can we. He will continue to dodge the subject like he did last week. And by having this “statement” come from the White House deputy press secretary, it’s a nod to his most ardent followers that it’s not coming from Trump. If he doesn’t tweet it, Trump doesn’t mean it.

Especially since they began immediately after his tainted election to the Presidency while losing the Popular Vote. He was too busy taking his victory lap and having his post-coital cigarette to make it abundantly clear, or to include any mention of the Jewish people in his recent statement on the Holocaust. But in the alternate universe inside Donald Trump’s head, he has made it abundantly clear.

Huh… I don’t know why the White House felt compelled to issue this statement inasmuch as our local observer from across the pond has convincingly proved that the complaints about Trump not mentioning Jews and the Holocaust in the same sentence are just silly liberal Dem hyperventilating.

A few years ago a white supremacist attacked the Jewish Community Center in KC, killing three Christians, because in KC, at least, the JCC is a center of the community. If I was going to think about who might be fomenting attacks on the JCCs across the country, I would start with the white supremacist cockroaches who followed Trump into the White House.
