“I have not spoken with anybody at the Department of Justice on that front, but I think that we are seeing that it is getting closer to conclusion,” Sanders said
Translation: "Wrap it up soon and pronounce us innocent, Bob, or we're shutting you down."
“One year of Watergate is enough!”
Richard M. Nixon, 1974 State of the Union Address, January 27, 1974.
The White House wants to convince people the investigation is almost over. When it continues well beyond “almost over” they will accuse Mueller of dragging it out, digging for crimes well beyond a reasonable time frame for discovering any. They’ll say he doesn’t want it to end because he’s embarrassed and disappointed to bring it to a close without finding wrong doing, so therefore he’s just keeping it going in the vain hope of discovering something. Something that isn’t there.
What does this even mean? “I think it’s based on fact — the fact that there has been no wrongdoing by the Trump campaign and a lot of the reporting that we’re seeing coming out, day in, day out with the collusion you’ve got.”
Was “the collusion you’ve got” a Freudian slip? Also, she seems confused about the relationship between the Congressional committees and Mueller. And desperately eager to create a diversion from the revelation about Cambridge Analytics and Assange.
I hope she’s right, and it is close to conclusion, at least.
I’m interested in their findings…
She did not cite any new evidence to back up the claim, instead referring to vague “reporting” on “more details about why the President has been right all along.”
Translation. Trump watched Pinocchio last night and heard Jimney Cricket sing about wishing upon a star.
Is anything Mike Huckabee Jr., a/k/a Sarah Huckabee. Sanders , says remotely credible ?
Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and other matters was “getting closer to conclusion.”
That is actually a truthful statement. Mueller’s probe, together with every other future event, is now one day closer to conclusion than it was one day ago.
Mueller was appointed special counsel on May 17.
May 17, October 26. Not even 5 1/2 months. SHS, like all rethugs seems to have math deficiency.
There is no way that pearl packing piece of shit knows that they are getting any closer to conclusion…
hahahahahaha Exactly. In the same way that the stock market will rise from this or some other point.
hahahahahahaha
I hope Mueller is concluding. Let the indictments begin, the additional subpoenas flow like wine.
She did not cite any new evidence to back up the claim, instead referring to vague “reporting” on “more details about why the President has been right all along.”
Fake news from the peddler in chief.
Self-serving, bigly speculation from Ol’ Ham Hock! Her countenance with scowl is deteriorating…fast.
Ugh! That left eyebrow thing again. Its driving me nuts.
Just give me 10 seconds with my electric shaver…
I appreciate that she is wearing black for the funeral of facts and truth.
Shaving her back won’t help a bit.
Yeah, I was wondering which committees were working on it in October 2016, when it would have made some difference.
OTOH, how long did wossname investigate Bill Clinton before coming up with a tacky though consensual sexual encounter in the Oval Office?
First, the Washington Post’s report this week that the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign paid for part of a dossier on Trump created by the former British intelligence official Christopher Steele (Republicans had previously funded Steele’s work).
Obviously, the problem isn’t that her campaign conducted oppo research; it’s that they got way more actionable items per dollar than republicans did.
