Heâs investigating to see if he was under investigation which could only be triggered by a FISA warrant and probable cause. Brilliant!
Careful what you wish for, Spicey.
Thatâs brilliant â âThe executive branch will not comment on the presidentâs comment until the Congress has investigated it for him, despite all the evidence that could be found would be discovered by interviewing or subpoenaing or getting warrants on ⊠the executive branch.â
Itâs perfect circular logicâŠ
All Trump has to do is produce the evidence, since as president he has access to it.
If he canât ⊠well, we already know heâs a liar.
âAnd while youâre at it, Congress, please initiate an investigation into how the Obama administration stopped millions of Republicans from attending Trumpâs inauguration. Like, they were totally having police stop anyone coming into D.C. with a âMake America Great Againâ hatâ
#BaghdadBobSpicer
So now instead of FAKE investigating things that really ruffle his hair (and pretending heâs paying for it) he now has an entire investigative arm to go after the latest conspiracy theories. I hope to shit they DO investigate but what bothers me is that Trump and the Flying Monkeys ALSO have the power to suppress the results of the investigation(s) because they only prove his lying and paranoia.
âNeither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.â
Sounds more and more clear that the Justice Department likely DID order surveillance via the FISA courtâŠ
Oh, Trump, Trump, Trump.
Youâve been a naughty boy, and you really should have just stayed as a blowhard âbusinessmanâ on the Apprentice.
Nobody gave a shit about your Russian connections until you wanted to take over the government.
âNeither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conductedâ
Translation: âWe got him back into the straitjacket and pulled the straps tighter this time. Guyâs a regular Houdini, I tell ya.â
âNeither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted.â
Good luck keeping that preemptive muzzle on your insane boss.
Really, the only hope is that members of Congress stop liking the feeling of Trump and his henchmen telling them how to run their committees and start to feel like they arenât being treated like the special, important champions they know they are. Oh, and of course when the shit is obviously so deep they will have to put as much distance between him and them as possible.
Meanwhile, Trumpâs personal counsel is trying to break down the traditional wall that has existed between the Executive branch and Dept. of Justice in trying to get at the FISA warrant.
Itâs laughable that the man with numerous scandals barely six weeks in is accusing an ex-President with exactly zero personal scandals after eight years. Heâll have as much success as he did with birtherism.
When Trump tries a thing that worked once and it doesnât work, he goes all to pieces like the computers and robots from Sixties sci-fi that start saying âdoes not compute DOES NOT COMPUTEâ and then after smoking and rattling apart for a while they explode.
Well, Ryan, Chaffetz, McConnell, Grassley, your move.
Trump wants to weaken the focus of the Russia investigation by diverting attention to these bogus allegations. His latest Twitter storm shows how desperate and out-of-control he is.
Buggy
Here is my favorite part:
New York Times: "Mr. Trumpâs demands for a congressional investigation were initially met with skepticism by lawmakers, including Republicans. Appearing on CNNâs âState of the Unionâ on Sunday, Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, said he was ânot sure what it is that he is talking about.â
If he keeps this up, the Republican agenda will never happen. They will be too busy investigatiing unicorns.
!FISAghazi!
I give it about 24 hours before Chaffetz and Gowdy announce separate investigations.
Theyâd only be making this demand if they were certain that McConnell and Ryan were going to make sure it didnât happen and that we wouldnât know it didnât happen because it wasnât happening behind the closed doors of the intelligence committees.
But one of the hallmarks of stupid incompetent people who have more power than stupid incompetent people ought to have is the belief that they can control events.
Update: Okay, my current theory is that this may be an âattack the investigation as partisan and criminalâ strategy, like they did with IRS scrutiny of people who were abusing 501© status. But I really donât think it will work this time, so have at it, dumbasses.
