Discussion: White House: 'Absurd' To Say We're At War With North Korea

The United States has always been at war with Eastasia Eurasia N. Korea. Maybe this hillbilly spokesperson should start reading her boss’s tweets before she opens her mouth. We are not at war (well, technically, we are, as others have pointed out) but it’s far from “absurd” to think that The Vulgar Talking Yam might not blunder us in to a real state of hostility.

Sounds like the North Koreans are invoking the “Bush Doctrine”. Whereas if a country feels threatened by another country they have the right to defend themselves by attacking preemptively - think Iraq War.

Well, let’s be clear. There is certainly a war of bluster, insult, cheat thumping, and bloviations going on, and Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un are both enjoying it tremendously. Sarah feels left out, and so she’s kind of pissed.

I am sure you will agree, Mrs Sanders that there’s been a whole lot of “absurd” coming out of the White house since January 20th, 2017.

“Our goal is still the same. We continue to seek the peaceful denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. That’s our focus, doing that through both the most maximum economic and diplomatic pressures as possible at this point.”

“That, and the President’s tweeting. Lots of tweeting pressure. Data-driven, evidence-based tweeting. Very scientific. Quite effective.”
