Discussion: White House: ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’ To Blame Trump If GOP Health Vote Fails

I’m not saying I expected ANYTHING different, but it is kind of amazing that he could tell America, with a sincere smile, that he was going to make healthcare so much better!!! and then never lifted a finger, beyond his Twitter thumbs and threatening lawmakers on his own team.

And millions still support him.

Of course it is tramp’s fault if we don’t get the $12/year/person covers all health care plan he told the NYT about! If we don’t get it, he failed to deliver that “beautiful” plan!! It will be tramp’s fault!
We don’t want DonTCare!!!

If it passes Trump his paid liars will crow about his leadership getting it passed. But if it fails, it is the Senate and everyone else’s fault. Just the other day they were fucking blaming President Obama for the mess they are in trying to repeal the ACA.

Pathetic.

With a perpetual expression of angst and deep concern, Sarah Huckabee Sanders quietly ponders the thought that she must continually deny the vivid reality that her boss is Making America Embarrassed Again.

But we do get to call Donnie a cuck if he doesn’t follow through on his threat to sack Tom Price.

So much failure. It’s continuous and ongoing. Laugh, weep, sad.

Does Trump even know that his “Obamacare is terrible” spectacle yesterday was a horrible joke? That everything he cited as a “nightmare” for the suckers who allowed themselves to be used as props will only be worse under the Republican plan?

No. He doesn’t know and he doesn’t care.

As of 11:20 AM eastern, it appears the GOP is flailing a bit. They’ve floated a ‘skinny repeal’ that would eliminate the mandate and some taxes and leave everything else intact. It would then be sent to the conference and merged with the House bill, and then we go thru this bullshit again. Insurance co’s will freak out at this.

An irony I first noted when the House considered it is that they may end up keeping medicaid expansion but eliminating the exchange and market reforms. They would make private insurance worse and public insurance better, which would pave the way for m4a when Dems win someday.

Mitch is determined to vote today, but there’s a chance of him pulling the plug b/c this piece of shit bill and process is that fucking bad.

Or, “The Fart of Repeal”?

In terms of public messaging, the biggest mistake the GOP made in their (dishonest and manipulative) anti-Obamacare campaigns was calling it “Obamacare”.

They tied it to a personality, and now that this personality has left the stage they’re forced to deal with the fact that the policy itself is actually kinda popular. The vitriol they managed to generate was personal, not policy-based.

Don’t make the same mistake with Trump. “Trumpcare” might sound appealing, and it may even have the desired effect in the (probably short amount of) time Trump has left, but what about when he’s gone? Does some of the anger dissipate after this boob leaves the stage? Probably.

Call this thing Republicare. Tie it like an anchor to the party at large. Don’t let a single vote for this monstrosity go unpunished - and don’t let future President Pence pass the buck to Trump. Democrats tend to underestimate the importance of public messaging - that would be a mistake.

She appears to be a woman whose mother never warned her as a child that if she didn’t stop making that face, it would get stuck that way.

She’s fat and unattactive!

Aren"t those shameful things for me to say?!

There’s an important thing no one seems to be noticing. This process has already blown up the exchanges for 2019, a key Republican policy objective. There is simply no way an insurer can even begin to do the work that has to be done to be ready for 2019 under these circumstances.

God these people are egregious sucks.

White House: ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’ To Blame Trump If GOP Health Vote Fails

Except for the pronouncement by Trump that: "Nobody knows the system better than me… Only I can fix it… You’re gonna have great healthcare… etc, etc, etc.

You folks in the White House do know there is video, right?

If you musy use the label gun, try “arrogant prick”

Honestly, this is one time I wish this worked, if only to stop it being known as Trumpcare in favor of RepublicanCare.
